| Jessica Griffiths, daughter of Levoy White sent me an email in February 2000 with an interesting remembrance of her father and Jackson B. White Sr. It would seem that the elder White often spoke to his children about his first child "Little George" who died as a 2 year old. According to Levoy, his father told him that "little George" would wait by the front window each day for his father to return home from work with his hands pressed against the window pane. When "Little George" died, Jackson would not let anyone wash the handprints off, where they remained. Jackson also wrote a song about "Little George" that he would sing to his other children. |

Nashville Banner Nashville, TN March 30, 1955 FUNERAL SET THURSDAY FOR FIRE VICTIMS Dickson � Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ohlmann who died early Tuesday when fire destroyed their home near here, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Dickson Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Stevens, pastor of Inglewood Baptist Church, Nashville will officiate and burial will be in Dickson Union Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Ohlmann were natives of Nashville, where they had resided on Oedway Ave. a year ago, when they moved to the farm near here. Mr. Ohlmann was a telegrapher with the L&N Railroad. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ervin Ray, Richmond, VA; Mrs. Clovis Calliez, Santa Barbara, CA; Mrs. J.P. Doty, Charlotte; three sons, Frank H. Ohlmann, Jr., Richmond, and George J. and William W. Ohlmann, students at Austin Peay State College, Clarksville; a daughter of Mrs. Ohlmann by a previous marriage, Mrs. C.R. Flint, Miami Beach, Fla and three grandchildren. Mrs. Ohlmann is survived also by two sisters, Mrs. David J. Kennedy and Mrs. Jesse Copeland, Nashville, and six brothers, T.G., E.E., and Jack White, Jr., Nashville, Juel White, Denver, Colo., R.E. White, Louisville, and L.S. White, Aliceville, Ala. Mr. Ohlmann�s other survivors include a sister, Mrs. A. B. Catigmani, Nashville.
