An earlier
Nevada High School Called
Cental high School James R. Baker Jr.
The Nevada High School building was built in 1907 and was used until it
burned on 29 November 1956.
Photos at the
bottom show the burned structure.
It was located on east Cherry just a block east of the square.
During
the 1950's the top floor housed the music and debate departments.
A new,
modern high school was built in the north west part of town near Logan
Stadium and it still exists.
