Charles Frances Jerome Jr., 82 of Memphis, retired prize fighter, died of pneumonia Wednesday at Oakville Health Care Center. Twin Oaks Funeral Home of Southaven has charge. Mr Jerome the widower of Gladys M. Jerome, leaves a son William Jerome of Southhaven, five granchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Angelman's Syndrome Foundation in Gainsville, Fla.

Services for Mrs. Gladys Jerome of 1027 Jefferson will be at 3 p.m. today at Treadwell Norris Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forrest Hill. Mrs. Jerome wife of Charles F. Jerome Jr. of New Orleans died yesterday at William F. Bowld Hospital after an illness of about a year. She was 55. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She also leaves a son William J. Jerome of 1027 Jefferson; a sister, Mrs Libby Buress of Memphis, and two grandchildren.

Rites To Be Held Today For Retired Postal Clerk

Services for John Albert Allen, retired postal clerk who died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday at John Gaston Hospital, will be at 3:30 this afternoon at National Funeral Home with Dr. Robert G. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park. He was 81.

Mr. Allen was born at Cam den, Tenn., and came to Memphis 51 years ago. He was a postal clerk 41 years before his retirement in about 1945. He lived at i268 Union and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Mr. Allen's hobby was printing and he operated his own press. He particularly enjoyed printing programs and literature for his church.

He leaves three sons, Hugh C. Allen of Atlanta, Harry Lynn Allen and Raymond Albert Allen of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Jerome Allen of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Ida Tichnor of Centertown, Ky.; a brother, W. J. Allen of Memphis; six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.

Bobby Jerome Dies:

Was 44 Years Old

Bobby Jerome, former Memphis boxer, died last week at his Jacento City, Texas, home. He was 44 years old. The one-time Memphis biffer at the time of his death was Recreation Department athletic director in the Texas city. Burial was at Jacento City last week end. He was the brother of Charley Jerome, at one time among South's leading lightweights. Bobby fought mostly in the featherweight division.

Wife Of Retired Post Office' Employee Dies At 69

Mrs. Lou Clement Allen of 960 Maddson, wife of J. A. Allen, retired Post Office employee, died at 10:05 last night at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been a patient in the hospital since Thursday night, when she suffered a heart attack. She was 69.

She was born in Benton County, Tenn., the daughter of the late State Senator J. A. Clement and Mrs. Clement of Camden, Tenn., and Dickson, Tenn. She moved to Memphis in 1905.1

She was a member of Union Avenue Methodist Church, She leaves three sons, Hugh C. Allen of Atlanta, and Harry Lynn Allen and Raymond A. Allen, both, of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs. R. E. Jerome of Memphis; a brother, Newt Clement of Pegram, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. W H. Lashlee of Camden and Mrs. J. B. Walthour of Chattanoona; three half-brothers, Robert Clement of Dickson, Arch Clement of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Malcolm Clement of MeEwen, Tenn.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Carl Nix of Dickson.

National Funeral Rome is in charge.

Mrs. Myrtle Jerome aged 29 years wife of F.[C] F. Jerome, died Sunday night at the Pensacola Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted this morning at 10 o'clock from Robinson's undertaking parlors and interment will be St. John's cemetery. Rev I. W. Chalker, pastor of the First Methodist church will officiate. (Memphis papers please copy)
