3. THOMAS DODSON1,11 was born on 15 May 1681 in North Farnham Parish, Old Rappahannock County, Virginia.8,10 He died before 2 March 1741 at the age of 59 in Richmond County, Virginia.12,13

The death of a Thomas Dodson is recorded in the North Farnham Parish Records as 21 Nov 1740 - this does not necessasrily conflict with the probate date of 2 Mar 1740.. Old style dating was in effect, so it was actually proved 2 Mar 1739 and the new year did not begin until 25 March 1740.
