Descendants of Jacob Overman

My descent from Jacob Overman, whose children were baptized in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, follows a twisted and winding, but documented, path. By 1694, he had settled his family in North Carolina in the Pasquotank area. He had become Quaker and his descendants left their tracks in the Quaker records as they moved west across North Carolina and then to Tennessee. Jacob Overman's son Ephraim married into the Belman family. Then my line becomes that of a female descendancy. Ephraim's daughter married a Pike. The Belmans and Pikes were also Quakers and both were early families in North Carolina. A Pike daughter married into the Williams family from Pennsylvania - again, a Quaker family. A Williams daughter married an Adamson - my father's surname and still another Quaker family.
