MRS. ELIZABETH LEININGER

Elizabeth Leininger, the daughter of Henry Rice and his wife Eva was born in Fulton County, Ohio on September 28th, 1867. On December 15th of that same ,year she was received into God's Covenant of Grace thru the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. She reaffirmed her Baptismal vow in the Rite of Confirmation in St. John's Reformed Church of Archbold on March 13, 1883. In 1887, just 70 years ago, on March 3rd she was united in Holy Wedlock to Jacob F. Leininger. To this union was born one son.

Aunt Elizabeth spent her entire lifetime in this vicinity living the greater portion of those years in her home southeast of Archbold. When because of her age it became increasingly difficult for her to continue alone, she was graciously received into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weber of Wauseon. There for two years she enjoyed the much needed companionship and loving care so willingly accorded her.

Since 1921 as health and weather conditions permitted, she was in attendance in our House of Worship: She was a regular and frequent guest at the Lord's Table, both in Church and in Private Communion. We know not how many were spared because of her personal prayers in their behalf.

Aunt Elizabeth departed this life last Wednesday. May 15th, 1957, at the Detwiler Memorial Hospital, here in Wauseon, at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 17 days. Preceded in death by her husband, her son, six brothers, and two sisters; she leaves to mourn her passing a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Edgar Funeral Home, Saturday afternoon, May 18 at 2.30 o'clock, Rev. H. F. Hall officiating. Interment was made in the Wauseon cemetery.
