     BIRTH; Nov 11, 1857, Auglaize Co., Ohio
     MARRIED: Aug 26, 1979 in Ohio
     DEATH: Aug 31 1902 in Fairhaven City, Whatcom, WA
     BURIED: 1902 in Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham, Whatcom, WA

     The family left Ohio with 5 children, then lost a son on the Oregon Trail. The family arrived in Polk Co., Oregon with only 4 children. They settled near Peedee in Polk Co., Oregon, where Daniel's Uncle Christian Gross and his family had homesteded. The 1900 Census records the family in Tray Precinct, Latah Co., Idaho. Emma Louise, thought to be dead, had actually married her beau at 15 and stayed behind in Polk Co., Oregon.
