Snyder Girl Reunion - 1911?

SNYDER FAMILY HISTORY

THE SNYDER GIRLS REUNION

The annual reunion of the seven sisters and their families was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lou Babcock on Thanksgiving day. It was indeed a time for giving thanks with love toward all and malice toward none.

There were present: Mr. and Mrs.(1) A. H. Smith and daughter Edith, of Swanton; Mrs.(2) J. P. Shaffer and sons Harry and Hollis, of Metamora; Mrs. Cora Mizer and sons Paul and Roy, of Delta; Mr. and Mrs.(3) Watson Gardinier, of Manchester, Mich.; Mrs. Caddie (4)Johnson and babes Hilda and Neal, of Clinton, Mich.; Mrs. W. W. Crosinger and children, of Defiance and Mr. and Mrs. Lou Babcock and children also S. W. Hartman, of Napoleon.

After a very sumptious dinner was served at the noon hour, a program was rendered in which nearly all took part. Mr. Hartman favored the crowd with several comic songs which were appreciated by all present. A hand painted souvenir turkey badge was presented to all and carnations to the ladies.

The next reunion will be held in 1912, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Smith, of Swanton. Mr. and Mrs. Gardinier, Mrs. Mizer and Mrs. Johnson left for their respective homes on Friday. The others took leave on the evening train on the 30th.
