NEVA LEONA WALLEN
1915-2006
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 11 a.m. at the Phelps
& Son Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ky., for Neva Leona Wallen, 91,
of Williamsport, Ky., who passed away Saturday, Jan. 21 2006 at
Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Paintsville.
Mrs. Wallen was born Jan. 6, 1915 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter
of the late I.D. and Malta Howe Preston. She was also preceded in
death by her husband, Mitchell Wendell Wallen.
Surviving are one son, Howard Wendell Wallen of Williamsport; one
daughter, Lois Webb of Williamsport; two brothers, Virgie Preston
of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Paul Richard Preston of Barefoot Bay,
Fla.; two sisters, Betty Wallen of Williamsport and Patty Swartz
of Barefoot Bay; and four grandchildren, eight great-
grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Primitive Baptist ministers, with
burial in the Wallen family cemetery at Williamsport.
Arrangements under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home
of Paintsville.
