Bish Ward, 77, well-known resident and retired farmer of Boons Camp,
died at his home Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., the victim of a sudden heart
attack.

The son of the late Greenville and Hannah Butcher Ward, he was born
December 1, 1873, in Martin County, but had lived in the Boons Camp
section most of his life where he was one of the community's most
respected and well-liked members.

He was married in 1902 to Martha Branham, who survives him.

Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Martha Branham Ward, are eight
children, four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Mollette, Miss Verna Ward, and
Billy Edyth Ward all of Boons Camp and Mrs. Elna Buster, Cincinnati,
Ohio, four sons, Lee, Bish, Jr., and Ashley all of Boons Camp and
Wiley, Winifred, Ky.

Funeral services were conducted from the home at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday
with Hershell Short officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
