For some years I have been researching the world-wide family tree of the Blennerhassett family and I notice that in your Mullins site you have:

Gabriel Blennerhassett Sellers (b.20-Oct-1840 Warren Ohio d.5-Jul-1907)
son of George Sellers (b.1806 Ohio d.1850) & Mary Woodruff (b.c1810 New Jersey)

Although you have "Blenderhasset" it is obviously Blennerhassett, as you may imaging this name produces some wonderful spellings!

I am very interested to know how this name arrived in your Sellars family. As George Sellars was from Ohio it is almost certainly some connection with the Blennerhassett family of Blennerhassett Island in the Ohio River (who did not leave descendants) or more probably with their cousins at St.Louis, Missouri, as they were in the Missouri/Ohio area and did leave descendants.

Please can you tell me if you know anything more about George Sellars, in particular the names of his parents. Perhaps(?) his mother was a Blennerhassett...

I also wonder if your Mullins family are connected with the Irish Mullins family of Dingle in Co.Kerry - they intermarried with Blennerhassett also.
