Hello Ken, As I said Wm. Preston K. has been a hard nut to crack...someone or something made me think he was also md. to a Cindy Goodnight, sister of Martha A., I can no longer find my notes on that. Also "heresay" had it that he married 6 times. When I ordered his war records in May of 1996, I put Martha J. or Cindy as his widow or other claimant. Since that time I have found a little bit more re. him. His Pension Papers are very thick, and this is what I abstracted from them:

So, his war file seems to indicate he only md. twice, but who is to say??

After I found him on the Newton Co., Mo. 1920 census, I changed Mary Jane s year of birth to 1863 and John T. Mullens birth to ca 1856, maybe I xposed these birth dates in the computer. Do you need the list of the rest of his children that I have unearthed or do you already have those?? I still need to find him & his family on the 1860-1870 and 1910 censuses. I have him on the 1900 Carter Co., Mo. the 1880 Allen Co., Kans and the 1920 Newton Co., Mo. censuses. And his father Abijah is just as allusive. Hope to hear from you. Jeanette
