Is this Jonas Griffith, Jr. and the Jonas Griffith that is with Jonas Griffith 1789 and 1800 census.  Did this Jonas Griffith go to Indiana, then return to Jackson Co.Tn. 1850, then back to Indiana by 1860 ???

Like so many other descendants of Griffith & Stacy/ey, I have spent years trying to find the correct connection to our William and Rebecca (Griffith) Stacy who settled in Green co. Mo. from Jackson  and Hawkins Co. Tn.  both those Counties can be found on old court documents, also the father of Rebecca was lisited as "Jonas Griffith" of Gonesboro {Jonesboro} Tn..

The above records of Jonas Griffith has been found in Ancestry.com and as for accuracy, one would have to search N.C., Kentucky, ect..Note that there are two (2) Jonas Griffiths listed on tax list for the years 1789 Madison co. Ky., and 1800 Barren Co. Ky.  Question: is this a Jonas Griffith, Sr. and a Jonas Griffith, Jr.?  Did the Jonas Griffith, Jr. go to Indiana, then return to Jackson Co. Tn. in 1850, then back to Indiana in 1860, if so, what was his reason for returning to Jackson Co. Tn. in 1850?  Was that the year that Jonas Griffith, Sr. died ?

Did our Jonas Griffith, Sr. have a son named "Benjamin" who is found on tax list 1800 Madison Co.Ky., after Jonas Griffith left Madison Co. for Barren Co.Ky. 1800?
