This picture is on an old post card and on the card
it reads: George Goswick, Sweet Blossom, Tx..
My Aunt Martha (Goswick) Russell gave me this picture of her
baby brother George Goswick, son of James P.O. and Rebecca Jane (Davidson)
Goswick who was born in 1915 AR. and died in Wade, Ok age 19.
George Goswick had married at a very early age to Faye Kennon/Kennan,
and both were just very young kids. George was working on the McClure
farm for Edmond Lafayette McClure and took sick one day with severe stomach
cramps and Mr. McClure took George to a doctor who told them that George
would be ok in a few days. The next day young George Goswick was
dead. Many of the family think that George had a ruptured appendix
and was just not detected by the attending county doctor. Aunt
Martha (Goswick) Russell supplied me with this picture and stated that
this was her baby brother "George". George Goswick's young widow
"Faye" later married a man by the last name of Stove or Stover and they
continued to live somewhere in Oklahoma. Faye corresponded with Aunt Martha
for years after she had re-married.
