Clistia Hoffman born May 18, 1933 Wauneta, Ks. died Mar.16,2000 Palmyra, Mo.
(They had no children), (but Clistia had 4/5 children by 2 or 3 previous husbands and all previous husbands and one child died from causes unknown). My brother was found in his car and supposidly died from carbon monixide poisining. This woman did not show up at Dolphias funeral, nor has any of the family seen her since my brother's death. An older lady who attended my brothers funeral came up to me and said she was the mother of "Donald Messner" one of Cilista Hoffmans husbands who had also died, and that "that woman had killed her son also". I begged the Army to do an autopsy on my brother to determine causes of death, but was told that only the "wife" of the deceased had the authority to ask for an autopsy, which she could not be found to give permission to do so. Our hearts still ache over the loss of our brother at such a young age.

Our family does not understand why Clysta kept the surname of GOSWICK since she was only married two months to our brother 'Dolphia', and at the time of his death she had already taken off with another man (name unk).

Chris Rogers Goswick, 66, P O Box 76, Taylor, (formerly of Quincy, Illinois)died Thursday, March 16, 2000 at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Palmyra, Mo.

She was born May 18, 1933 in Wauneta, Kansas, the daughter of Dallas Huffman and Nettie Willits Huffman.

She was manager of the Quincy Elks Lodge #100 for 10 years. She was of the Protestant faith.Clysta (known to many as Chris) was a well known business owner of the River House and Branding Iron. She later worked for the Tender Steer. She enjoyed gardening and took much pride in her flower garden. She enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. There was never a stranger to her and her doors were always open with helping hands. Her family was her life, and she will be missed by all.
Survivors include her Mother, Nettie Huffman, Quincy; 4 brothers, Deloyn Huffman and his wife Marilyn, Gardner, Ks , Galen Huffman and his wife Mary Lou, Idabel, OK, Coy Huffman and his wife Donna, Tucson, AZ, Michael Huffman and his wife Pam, Fort Worth, TX, a sister, Bonnie Schnack and her husband Drew, Quincy, a son Donald William Messner, II, Indianapolis, IN. 4 daughters Linda Meyer and her husband Danny, Palmyra, MO, Debbie Duncan, Payson, IL , Cathy Clarke and her husband Barry, Mt. Sterling, IL , Stephanie Lynn Rogers, Mt. Sterling, IL 12 grandchildren, Regina, Kevin, Michael & Melissa Meyer, Palmyra, Timothy and Steven Veihl, Quincy, Hayley Marie and Tiara Rogers, Mt. Sterling, Dallas & Cutter Duncan, Payson, Leigh & D. W. Messner, Quincy; , 6 great grandchildren, a very special and dear friend Jesse J. Crabtree, LaGrange, MO , several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and 4 husbands Rollin White, Donald Messner, I, Dolphin Goswick and Steve Rogers and a daughter Janice Clysta White.

Funeral Services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, March 18, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Johnny Owen Crabtree officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7PM Friday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

2nd husband: Donald Messner of Arkansas City, Ks. and baby Janice Clysta White both died in car crash in California. A son Donald William Messner, Jr. b.ca. 1957 born after Donald died.

3rd. husband: Dolphia Goswick (death ruled suicide while married to Clysta)No children

Robert Kenneth "Bob" Jordan, Jr., 59, of Arkansas City, KS, died Thursday
(March 13, 2003) at this home in Arkansas City.
Bob was born September 15, 1943 in Enid, OK, the son of Robert K. and Connie
(Goswick) Jordan, Sr. He was reared in Arkansas City and attended local
schools. Bob graduated from the Geuda Springs High School in 1961 and after
his military service he attended Cowley College.
Bob married Renate Jasmer June 4, 1965 in South Bend, IN. They made their
home in Arkansas City most of their married life. He worked for Dixie
Portland Flour Mill, Arkansas City Police Department and was a self employed
carpenter. Bob was an avid golfer and he made golf club as a hobby.
He was a member of the Shelton Beaty Post #18 American Legion and Spencer
Ralston Post #1254 VFW.
Survivors include his wife Renate of the home; two daughters, Dawn F. Jordan
of Blackwell, OK and Heidi McDowell of Arkansas City, KS; seven
grandchildren, Jordan, Zachary, Madison, Mason, Hunter and Trevor McDowell
all of Arkansas City and Gabrielle Schauf of Blackwell, OK; mother, Connie
Jordan of Arkansas City, KS; three sisters, Kathryn Whitford of Winfield,
KS, Sandra Day and Anita Thomas both of Arkansas City, KS; one brother,
Donald Jordan.
Bob was preceded in death by his father and grandson, Spencer Alec McDowell.
A memorial has been established for the Harry Hynes Hospice. Contributions
may be made through the funeral home.
