THE BEACH FAMILY PAGES

Left to Right: Grace Beach-Kay, Judy Beach-Berteaux, Marie Beach-Morrison, Edna Beach-Strain, Opal Beach-Henry

In 1976, Judith Ann Beach-Berteaux completed an extensive research project on the Beach and Carr Families. We wish to thank Judy for sharing her research with selected family members, who, upon their passing, left it to our guardianship. Using Judy's research as a base, we hope to expand into the histories of many of the ancestors mentioned in her files. Thank you, Judy! May we continue with excellence.

The Beach Family, in the late 1700s, first appears in our files with Steven Beach, who was born in New Jersey, and moved into Pennsylvania, marrying a woman named Sarah in about 1806.

From Pennsylvania, later generations migrated into Missouri, the Lebanon area, and also into Ohio. It is in Ohio where our direct line meets up with the Carr family. John William Beach and Julia Ann Carr married and eventually left Ohio and moved to Oklahoma, into Sapulpa, Creek County, where they lived until their deaths in the 1930s.

John William Beach passed on to glory in 1935, and two years later, on a trip back to Ohio to a family reunion, Julia Ann Carr-Beach was killed in a terrible automobile accident. She was brought back to Creek County, and buried beside her husband in South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
