SARAH "SADIE" ELLEN BEACH

SARAH "SADIE" ELLEN BEACH, daughter of Wheeler Whitney, son of Israel, son of Stephen, was born on November 17, 1873 in Lebanon, Laclede County, Missouri. She died on February 20, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is entombed in Rose Hill Mausoleum, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sarah Ellen Beach married Michael Sylvester Karcher on May 27, 1902.

KARCHER -- Mrs. Sarah Ellen, age 95, 2640 East 6th Street, pioneer Oklahoma woman, passed away Thursday. She was the widow of M. S. Karcher, Independent Oil man who preceded her in death in 1950. Born near Lebanon, Mo. 1873, she came to Indian Territory with her husband in 1907, settling in Sapulpa, later moving to Tulsa in 1923. Member of the St. Francis Xavier Church. Active in Parish activities and member of St. Francis Womens' Club. Also active membe4r of St. Anne's Grandmother's Club for many years. Survived by son, Clarence N. of Tulsa; daughter, Mrs. Harold R. Jones, of the home; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Francis Xavier Church with entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum. John Ennis Funeral Service, LU 2-8811.
