Elsie Mae Ingram

Elsie Mae Ingram, of Sapulpa, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004 at the age of 90. She was born Dec. 6, 1913 in Indianola to Joseph and Susanna Smith.

She resided in Sapulpa as a child before moving to the Henryetta area, where she graduated from Wilson High School. She married Clyde William Ingram on March 31, 1934. She received her bachelor of science degree in education from East Central University and taught elementary schools in Henryetta for 18 years. She and Clyde moved to Sapulpa in 1976. She was active in the First Methodist Church in both Henryetta and Sapulpa where she taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school classes. She was a Girl Scout leader in Henryetta, a substitute teacher in Sapulpa for several years and an active member of Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority. She was a wonderful friend, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde Ingram; sisters Grace Briscoe, Edna Hanse and Juanita Ballard; brothers Ira Smith, J.D. Smith, Leo Smith, Joe Watkins and Jack Watkins.

Survivors are her children Rita (David) Peters, of Sapulpa, and Ron (Linda) Ingram, of Burkburnett, Texas; grandchildren Steven (Kristy) Peters, of Owasso, Stephanie (Terry) Meier, of Tulsa, Brandy (Brian) Deason, of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jill (Clint) Caporale, of Burkburnett, Texas; great-grandchildren Kelsey and Emilie Peters, of Owasso, and Hunter and Hannah Deason, of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister Ilajean (Leo) Fry, of Woodlake, Calif. and Fred Watkins, of Nevada. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta with the Rev. Johnny Bilby officiating.

Honorary casket bearers will be her grandsons Steven Peters, Terry Meier, Brian Deason and Clint Caporale.

Lanorah B. Ingram

Lanorah B. Ingram, of Sapulpa, died Thursday, Nov, 18, 2004, at the age of 62. Lanorah was born Aug. 18, 1942 in Mercede, CA, and had lived in Sapulpa since 1966, moving here from Henryetta; she had worked for H&R Block and had owned her own beauty shop.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Palmer.

Survivors are her husband Doyle of the home; son Sid Ingram and wife Pam, of Sapulpa, and daughter Lynnette and husband Dwight Thomas, of Sapulpa; grandchildren Justin and Austin Thomas; brother Ernie Palmer and wife Carol, of Norman; sister-in-law Robin Cossart, of Tulsa.

Funeral services for Lanorah have been set for 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta.

Serving as casketbearers will be Josh Bell, Allen Sullins, Colt Vandolah, Rick Combs, Jason Palmer and Kermit Kuykendall.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gordon Earl Irby

Gordon Earl Irby, 69, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, in Tulsa. He was born Aug. 20, 1935 to Tee Irby and Ollie Bell Davis in Beggs.

Mr. Irby lived in Sapulpa all of his life. He married Wanda Brents on Dec. 16, 1957. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. He received a National Defense Service Medal. He served from Feb. 27, 1952 to Aug. 15, 1955 on USS Kenneth Whiting as a deck hand. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. In his spare time he enjoyed being a mechanic.

Mr. Irby was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Irby; son Dale Irby; and mother Ollie Ament.

He is survived by his son, Lynn Irby, of the home; six grandchildren Stephanie and husband Randy Stapleton, of Bristow, Brent and wife, Billi Irby, if Kiefer, Matthew Irby, of Sapulpa, Stephen, Phillip and Joseph Irby, of Glenpool; three great-grandchildren Jacob and Jenna Stapleton, Brayden Irby and one more great-grandchild on the way; two sisters Wanda Wright, of Chouteau, and Linda and Dan Russell, of Henryetta; many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charlie Moss will officiate.

The famly has chosen to entrust the care of the service to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.

Lynn E. Irby, 46, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, riding toward his dream.

He was born Sept. 29, 1958 in Sapulpa to Gordon and Wanda Irby.

Lynn attended Sapulpa Public Schools and graduated in 1977. He was employed by Tank Trucks, Inc. and was a member of their family. Lynn was a devoted family man, a loved father and will be missed by all. He loved being with his family and friends. He really loved riding his four wheeler with his grandson Jacob and spoiling all his grandkids. He also loved riding his motorcycle with his closest friends.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, quad racing, working on his four-wheeler and motorcycle and taking an occasional Sunday afternoon nap. He was a pretty easy-going guy and easy to please.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father Gordon Irby; his mother Wanda Irby; and his brother Dale Irby.

He is survived by one daughter Stephanie Stapleton and her husband Randy, of Bristow; one son Brent Irby and his wife Billie, of Kellyville; three grandchildren Jacob and Jenna Stapleton and Hailey Irby; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, family and friends.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2005 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charles Moss will officiate.

Casket bearers will include Cecil Keeling, Alvin Robinson, Benny Hufft, Benny Martin, Covey Martin and Darrin Thomas.

The family has chosen to entrust the care of the service to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.

Timothy "Tim" Ivey

Timothy "Tim" Ivey, of Sapulpa, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004 at the St. John Medical Center at the age of 47. Tim was born June 1, 1957 in Muskogee and had lived in Sapulpa for the past seven and a half years moving here from Weleetka.

He was married to Kathy Shoun on Feb. 25, 1991 in Las Vegas. He was employed for Union Schools in operations of heat and air. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union and a member of the Muskogee Free Will Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Hilldale High School.

Survivors are his wife Kathy, of the home; parents William "Bill" and Peggy Robinson Ivey, of Muskogee; children Scott Smith and Sky Smith, both of Tulsa; and brother Jeff Ivey, of Muskogee.

Funeral services for Tim have been set for 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Fish and the Rev. Leslie Long officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Muskogee.

Serving as casket bearers will be Galen Bordenkiker, LeRoy Whiseler, Chris Ramsey, Chuck Cahpman, Hasan Yakzeman and Luther Robbins. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
