MAN KILLED IN SIX-VEHICLE ACCIDENT
By Bob Sherrill, Herald Staff Writer

Sapulpa police continue to investigate a multi-vehicle collision that killed one person and injured three others Thursday about 5:45 p.m. Police identified the fatality victim as Steven E. Curtis, 36, of Sapulpa.

Sapulpa Chief of Police Jim Wall said it appeared the accident occurred when a vehicle attempted to cross New Sapulpa Road from Hilton Road and collided with another vehicle.

The collision caused one vehicle to overturn.

Police said at least six vehicles were involved in the accident.

Wall said Curtis was on a motorcycle and had laid the bike down in an effort to avoid the overturned vehicle.

He said the motorcyclist was hit in the rear by another vehicle that was unable to stop in time.

Wall said none of the injuries to the other three victims appeared to be life threatening.
