The deaths of four people in crashes on Oklahoma roads -- including three in an Okfuskee County rollover -- have been reported by state troopers.
Dead are Ida M. Copeland, 83, of Oilton; Euther C. Foster, 82, of Drumright; Linda M. Olsen, 58, of Arcadia; and Harold G. Pennington, 75, of Nardin.
Two people also were critically injureed in the Okfuskee County crash, which killed Copeland, Foster and Olsen, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The women were among seven people in a 1995 GMC Suburban that was westbound on Interstate 40.
The driver, Kimberly Troutman, 40, also of Oilton, swerved to avoid a tire tread in the roadway and lost control, troopers said. The Suburban ran off the roadway and rolled at least once.
The crash occurred just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday about two miles west of the Oklahoma 48 exit.
Foster, who was ejected, was pronounced dead on arrival at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City, troopers said.
Olsen was pinned in the wreckage for about 40 minutes and pronounced dead at the scene.
Copeland, who also was dead at the scene, was pinned in the crash for about 35 minutes.
Loren C. Foster, 56, of Cushing, was taken in critical condition by helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was pinned for half an hour.
Also critically injured was Joyce E. Casto, 61, of Mannford, who also was flown to St. Francis Hospital.
Troutman and Beverly J,. Hallman, 63, of Oilton, reportedly were in good condition at an Okemah hospital.
Euther Foster, Olsen and Casto were not wearing seat belts.
Pennington died after his pickup struck at 2005 Mack tractor-trailer rig that had failed to yield on a Kay County road west of Blackwell about 4 p.m. Tuesday, troopers said.
The truck, driven by John David Kiser, 34, of Cashion, was struck by Pennington's 1991 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, which was northbound on an intersecting street.
Pennington, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected, the OHP reported.
Kiser reportedly was not injured.
