Virginia Hermes Collins, born March 20, 1913, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005.

Virginia lived in Sapulpa most of her life. She graduated from Sapulpa High School and Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater. While attending OSU, Virginia was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and was an Aggie Princess. Virginia co-owned the Nancy Kay Shoppe in Sapulpa with long time friend Willie McKinney for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Chapter-G P.E.O. The First United Methodist Church was her second home. She was involved in many aspects of the church over her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett S. Collins, attorney-at-law; two brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by daughter Nancy P. Bass and husband Jack; son Stephen W. Collins and wife Barbara; granddaughter Cathy L. Collins; grandson Michael W. Collins and wife Michelle; and great-grandson Brandon M. Collins.

Services will be at First United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005.

Interment will be in the South Heights Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
