Dannie Allen Caldwell Sr. and Barbara Jane (Dyer) Caldwell of Sapulpa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 2, 2006. Their children and grandchildren held a reception for them at Steak-n-Eggs in Sapulpa.
The couple was married Sept. 7, 1956 in Chandler, Okla. with Robert Foster officiating.
Barbara attended Sapulpa Schools. Upon leaving school she wed Dan Caldwell and became a homemaker and the mother of four children. She is a member of Full Gospel Baptist Church and she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also an avid gardener.
Dan also attended Sapulpa schools. After high school he married his high school sweetheart. Dan is retired from the military and is currently the pastor at Full Gospel Baptist Church where he has pastored for the past 28 years. He enjoys spending time with his brothers and sisters, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Their children are Dannie and Patti Caldwell, Tray and Angela Caldwell, Kevin Caldwell and Wendy and Gary Vanarsdel, all of Sapulpa.
They have nine grandchldren and eight great-grandchildren.
