In celebration of the 25th wedding anniversary of their parents, the children of Roy and Doris Lawson were hosts at a reception held Nov. 11, 2 to 4 p.m. in the Y.W.C.A.
Hosting the affair were Mr. and Mrs. Larry York, Coweta, Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Lawson, Sapulpa and Miss Brenda Lawson of the home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawson were married Nov. 10, 1954, in the First Baptist Church at Schulter. They moved to Sapulpa in 1964. A former welder, Lawson is now employed with Wilson Fire Protection Service.
A corsage of carnations and daisies and a boutonnaire were presented to the couple by their grandchildren. Approximately 50 persons attended the reception.
Those coming from out-of-town were Mrs. Grace Goodman, Dewar, mother of Mrs. Lawson; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Adams, Jeanie and Jerry Lee, Wichita, Kan.
And, Mrs. Evie Carter, Mrs. Scott Milam, Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Ryal, Mrs. Jean Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Goodman, all of Dewar.
Also, John Goodman and son Karl, Graham; Mr. and Mrs. Larry York, Larry Dean, Jennifer and Deena, Coweta; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lawson, Raymond Lawson and son James, Mannford; Jim Lawson, Broken Arrow and Beverly Southard, Tulsa.
Served at the reception was a cake made by Mrs. Ron Coonce.
Among Sapulpa friends who called were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Coonce and Chuck, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McIntosh, Mr. and Mrs. Randy McIntosh, Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Cooper, Mrs. Jim Williams and Christy.
