More than 100 freinds and relatives gathered at scenic Rock Creek Park Sunday, August 3rd, for the 32nd annual Haney - Varner reunion. Potluck Dinner, horseshoe pitching, volleyball and scores of conversations mixed amiably to produce a very enjoyable afternoon at the park located between Sapulpa, Mannford and Sand Springs.
Sixteen people attended the reunion from out of state, from Missouri and Kansas. Others came from across Oklahoma from Chandler, Norman, Ponca City, Prue, Sperry, Broken Arrow, Kellyville, Jenks, Tulsa and Sapulpa.
Those attending the reunion from Mannford were Gary, Linda, Stacy, Shane, Dustin, and Casey Spess; Mike and Scotque Varner; and James Varner. Those attending from Rock Creek area were Larry, Linda, Scott, and Laura Shope; William, Gwen, and James Firey; John, Shirley, Scarlett, Jonathan, and Holly Firey; Bill, Jackie, Barbara, and Randy Firey; Shelly Lee; David Andy, Andrea, Brandon, and Ben Firey; Kenneth and Sylvia Firey; and Steve Firey.
Attending from Sand Springs were Jan and Bob Kelly; Don, Vicky, Matt, Jayla, and Jacob Shope; Curtis, Louise, Gregory, and Jeffery Haney; Beth Titone; and Travis and Kim Firey.
