The Penn Oaks clubroom was the setting Thursday evening for a dinner party honoring Jane Jones. The occasion was the honoree's 86th birthday. A longtime resident of Penn Oaks, Mrs. Jones is a retired postmaster of Terlton. The affair was hosted by the honoree's children and grandchildren.
The serving table was covered with a lace cloth and held a floral arrangement and balloon bouquet. After the honoree opened her gifts, the group sang "happy birthday" accompanied by Wilma Mills at the piano.
Those attending and sending gifts included Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Showalter, Terlton; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Brad Nichols and Julie Phillips, all of Tulsa; Gary Showalter and daughter Aundrea, Wichita, Kansas; Kay Nucholls, Claremore; Mary Ellen Showalter, Virginia Beach, Va.; Mary Beth Tatum, St. Louis, Mo. and Bertha Bumpus, Centralia, Wash.
Also Ruth Pitman, Daisy Brown, Beulah Futch, Wilma Mills, Erma Lee Petterson, Katherine Hart and Virginia Moon, all of Drumright.
