Leota Jones celebrated her 76th birthday January 8. The senior citizens presented Jones a bouquet of electrical roses that light up. She also received gifts from her daughter and sister. She received a yellow mum corsage with the number 76 on it from her friends from the Shamrock Grocery. The incliment weather kept Jones from a dinner at Joseph's. Can you believe she wanted a rain check? I told her it was raining pretty hard at the moment.
Jones recalled the days past . . . when John Bossa would call her on the telephone and play the old fiddle tune "The 8th of January" for her. She is still looking for a brown cowgirl hat.
