Brenda Jo'Sonaphine Seals, daughter of Frank V. Seals of Sacramento, Ca., and Lena M. Seals of Drumright, will graduate from Drumright High School, Friday, May 22, 1987.
She is the first and only member of her immediate family to graduate. She will also be the first Seals in 33 years to graduate from D.H.S. The last one being her uncle who graduated in 1954.
Brenda has lived in Drumright since November of 1974. She attended all of her education through Drumright Public Schools.
During her four years in high school, she has participated in many school activities such as: Choir, Expressions, Students of Science, pep club, journalism, yearbook, speech and drama, Thespians, art club, flag corp, office aide, teacher aide and for eight years has participated with the band, seven which were spent with the high school band.
Brenda has also received many honors while in school. She has won ten medals for superior ratings on flute solos and ensembles. She has also been a member of Stroud's 99-66 District Honor Band for 3 years and Enid's Tri-State Honor Band for 2 years. She has been a member of the Oklahoma State Fair Honor Band and lettered twice in band. She is this year's recipient of the band practice award for two years running. She was the Sophomore band attenddant.
She has been listed on the Principal's Honor Roll several times and was nominated twice for student of the month and has been a student rotarian.
Brenda is the editor for the school literary magazine, Black Gold.
Upon graduation she plans to attend Phillips University in Enid, Ok. Her planned major is instrumental music.
Her family and friends wish her luck and success. They think she is an accomplisher; after all, she accomplished 12 years of school.
