Approximately 175 people from seven states, including Oklahoma, attended the 18th Wright family reunion on August 2 with a covered dish dinner at the Pioneer Club's Log Cabin in the Cushing City Park.

The afternoon was spent taking pictures, renewing old acquaintances and making new ones. A lot of family members are working on genealogy records.

Friends and relatives for the nineteenth annual Wright Family reunion on Sunday, August 2, 1987 in the Log Cabin located at Cushing City Park. Approximately 140 attended. After a covered dish dinner, the afternoon was spent renewing acquaintances, taking pictures and catching up on family news.

Five states were represented besides Oklahoma. Those from Nebraska were: Gladys Steskal; Bob and Barbara Snyder; Bud Wright; and Fern Wright of Ewing; Beulah Orehart of Orchard; and Frederick, Beverly and Earl Wright of Oakdale. Attending from Idaho were: Emmett Wright of Nampa; and Gary Wright of Boise.

Those from Kansas were: Milford and Lueta Kellerby of Neodesha.

From Texas were: Harv and Denise Hubbard of Atlanta; and Rod Wright and Stacy Wright of Hughes Springs. Rod's father, Dewey Wright from Linden, also came to attend the runion, but was taken ill Saturday night with a heart attack. He was hospitalized in the Drumright Hospital and released Tuesday to return to his home.
