The third annual Zickefoose reunion was held Sunday, June 1, in the Keystone State Park with 112 members registered from seven states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Indiana, and California.
The oldest member present was Tommy Crane, age 90, of Mannford.
Each year brings a number of family members to the reunion for the first time. Many new acquaintances are made and former acquaintances renewed; and the exchanging of news the past year, plus an abundance of food and ice water, made a nice day.

. . . . in Mannford and contined to operate it until the death of Perry in approximately 1950. Following Perry's death, the store was purchased and operated by Raymond Holmes.
Charlie Zickefoose was the first school teacher in the Basin, Indian Territory (north of Mannford) and also was the first teacher at Dry Lake school district.
Murrel Zickefoose, a son of Charlie, who still lives in the Keystone Community, provided the land for the Sinnett cemetery, the burial place for many of the pioneers of this area.
The late Charlie Zickefoose, who with his wife was originator of the family in Oklahoma, was born in West Virginia. He made the run into Oklahoma Territory and was living in this area in 1894.
