EVAN RANSOM AND MARGIE LOUISE CROOK-BURNETT

From "The Mannford Eagle," Mannford, Oklahoma, January 9, 1986

Forty-four years ago on January 3, 1942, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Even Ransom Burnett and Margie Louise Crook exchanged wedding vows.

Except for a brief period following Even's release from the Army after World War II, when the couple lived in Visalia, California, awaiting the birth of their first child, they have lived these past forty years in the Tulsa area before moving to Mannford in 1967.

The Burnetts have three daughters: Patricia Ann Palmer, of Sapulpa; Bobbie Jean Cummings, of Mannford, and Wanda Mae Palmer, Sapulpa. They have six grandchildren: Kevin Stites, Rhonda Cummings, Connie Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Jon Palmer, and one great-grandchild, Nichole Palmer.

Step-grandchildren include Cathy Rawles, Bradley Cummings, Burton Cummings, Dolly Cummings, Tammy Palmer, Allen Palmer and his wife, Lanaya.

Step-great-grandchildren are Obie Sherrill, Regeana Sherrill and Clinton Rawles, John Mach, and Natasha Palmer.

The Burnetts built and managed Lakeside Motel on Highway 51 west of Mannford before selling it to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cranke in January of 1975. Mr. Burnett is now semi-retired. He has a tire shop just west of Cranke's Motel.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. "B."
