"GODARD'S TO CELEBRATE 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY"

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Godard of Mannford will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 22.

Their children and grandchildren will host a reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hospitality Room, Mannford State Bank.

Charles and Kathryne moved to Mannford in August, 1968. Charles taught in Mannford schools and Kathryne supervised special education in the Sand Spring public schools. They have enjoyed retirement the past eight years.

All friends and former students are invited to attend the reception and enjoy fellowship with the Godards. They request, "please, no gifts."

The Godards, who live at 120 Gardenia Place, met in college in Ada in 1935 and they were married in Bartlesville on May 11, 1936. Mr. Godard retired after 32 years in Oklahoma schools, with the last 10 years spent in Mannford. Mrs. Godard retired in 1978, with the last 10 years in Sand Springs schools.

He is a member of the First Methodist Church and Mannford Lions Club. She is a member of the First Methodist Church.

Children who are serving as co-hosts are Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Godard of Enid, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Godard and family of Boulder, Colo., and David Godard of Tulsa. Grandchildren who also will help as co-hosts are Jim, Julie and Susan Godard of Boulder. The Godards have five grandchildren.
