"COUPLE WED IN KANSAS"

From the "News Journal," Drumright, Oklahoma, July 7, 1985

Teresa Lynn Ferguson became Mrs. Keith W. Jabben in a 4 p.m. candlelight wedding ceremony performed Saturday, June 15, at Zion Lutheran Church, Independence, Kansas. The Rev. John Duran heard the double ring promises.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ferguson, 2012 N. 8th, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Jabben, rural Independence. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barton and Mrs. Sarah Ferguson of Oilton.

Wedding musicians were Ralph Johnson, organist, and Anita Huff, soloist.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride chose a bell-silhouette gown fashioned of white organza.

The basque bodice was layered with lace and pearls and featured a high neckline and full princess sleeves with long French cuffs. Rows of reembroidered Alencon and Chantilly lace accented the softly gathered skirt and ruffled hemline, which extended around the cathedral length train. Her wide-brimmed picture hat was layered with matching lace and ruffled tulle. A satin ribbon and waist length illusion veil was secured at the back. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink silk roses, minature white carnations and stephanotis.

Leslie Stoltenow, Wichita, was the matron of honor. Toni DeBo and Tonda Rinck, Independence, served as honor attendants. Sarah Barton, Drumright, Oklahoma, was the flowergirl. They were attired in pastel-colored dresses of taffeta with lace ruffled capes. Wedding band collars highlighted each bodice and the full skirts fell into brush trains with ruffles.

Lori Jabben was the candlelighter and Brians Pickle and Matthew Barton were train attendants.

Morris Sulton, Independence, was the groom's best man. Jeff Moon, Altamont, and Jerald Rinck, Independence, were groomsmen. Josh Jabben, Tyro, was the ringbearer.

Greg Ferguson and Kevin Wallingford served as ushers.

A receeption followed the ceremony in the church with the Ladies of Zion hostessing the refreshment table. Regina Carroll and Teresa Wallingford attended the gift table. Janet Landwehr was in charge of the guest book.

Relatives from Oklahoma attending were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barton, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Barton, Mrs. Irene Robertson, Mrs. Barbara Hammond, and Mrs. Penny Lomenick.

The bride is a graduate of Independence High School and Independence Community College. She is currently employed as a secretary in the installment loan department of Citizens National Bank.

The groom is also a graduate of IHS and ICC. He is employed in the parts department of Romans Motor Company.

Following a wedding trip to Branson, Missouri, the couple will be living at 1032 N. 5th.
