HERMAN AND PAULINE LANGSTON

HERMAN LANGSTONS WILL OBSERVE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

From "The Mannford Eagle," Mannford, Oklahoma, February 27, 1986

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Langston will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 1. Herman will also celebrate his 72nd birthday on March 1.

They met in Sand Springs in 1935 and later married in Los Angeles, Calif. where Herman had gone to seek work. They lived in the Los Angeles area until Herman retired in 1976 from Parker-Hanifin Corp. He was an aircraft valve and hydraulic assembler.

They decided to retire in the Mannford area as Pauline has relatives here. Mr. Langston has no living brothers or sisters. They have one daughter, Lillie Mae Smelser, one granddaughter, Cathy Watson, and two great grandsons, Jeffrey and James Watson.

Lillie Mae is married to Dennis Smelser, longtime resident of Mannford. Cathy is married to Gary Watson. Mrs. Langston is the sister of Ellie Cottongem and Matt, David and Melvin Miller, all of the Mannford area.

Due to health, no open house is planned but relatives and friends are welcome to stop by.
