Alfred A. Race of 101 East 1st Street passed away Sunday October 20, 1985 at the Drumright Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Race was born May 6, 1909 at Bradford, Arkansas and came to Drumright with his parents Ora Alfred and Addie Race as a child in 1917. He married Miss Opal Ingram on February 3, 1937 and they have made their home here since that time.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday October 23, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bailes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Ruby of the Church of the Nazarene officiating.
He is survived by his wife of the home and one son Donald of Bethany, and one daughter, Mrs. Janet Campbell of Rawlins, Wyo. Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the North Cemetery under the direction of Bailes Funeral Home.
Minnie Evie Ramey
Mrs. Minnie Evie Ramey, 76, of Mannford, died Wednesday, September 21, at St. John Medical Center.
Services are pending with Owen Funeral Home.
She was born February 6, 1912, in Logan County, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Ramey was a private duty nurse in Tulsa for many years and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sand Springs.
She married John Edward Ramey November 6, 1933, in Stillwater and he preceded her in death in 1954. She was also preceded in death by her son, Johnny Jr. in 1983.
Mrs. Ramey had lived in Mannford since 1982, moving here from Tulsa.
Survivors include daughter Betty Lou, of the home; brothers Marion W. Williams and George Daniel Williams of Tulsa; and sisters, Josie Ann Lino of Tulsa and Maude Leona York of Broken Arrow.
Arlin Ransey, 65, Oklahoma City, formerly of Drumright, died Ausut 27, 1986. He was born May 23, 1921, at Prue, Ok., to William and Rosie Ramsey. His parents and brothers Sterlin and Burl preceded him in death.
Survivors are sisters Verlie Hart and Mae Shipman both of Drumright.
Graveside services were held on August 29 at 1 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. K. Ray McDowell officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Bailes Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Burl Marvin Ramsey were held November 2 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Drumright. The Rev. Marvin Boyles officiated.
He was born March 2, 1924, to William Harrison and Rosie Ramsey at Prue, Oklahoma, and died October 31 in the Drumright Memorial Hospital. He was 60, and a resident of the Yale Nursing Home.
He is survived by a twin sister Verlie Haret and sister Mae Shipman, both of Drumright and brother Arlin Ramsey; son Marvin Leon Ramsey of Drumright and daughter Johnna Sue Chester of Alice, Texas and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Alice E. Ratzlaff
Alice E. Ratzlaff, 83, Finer Mobile Home Court, died on Tuesday, August 18 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend.
She was born Alice E. Boese on February 23, 1904 in Barton County and had been a lifetime area resident. She married Herman T. Ratzlaff in Barton County on April 23, 1933 and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ratzlaff was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons: John of Pawnee Rock and James of Marion, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Scott (Laverda) Halwig of McComb, Ill.; two brothers: Walter Boese of Seward and Edward Boese of Independence, Mo.; five sisters: Lena Whitman of Mannford, Okla.; Eva Hiebert and Clara Huddleston, both of Larned, Marjorie Andrasck of Garden City and Inez Hiebert of Augusta; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on August 20 at 2 p.m. at the Bryant-Christians Funeral Home with the Rev. J. P. McCamey officiating.
Interment was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Dundee.
Clyde Reams born May 21, 1908 to Orville and Jessie Reams in Franklin, Nebraska, died October 27, Sunday at age 77 years in the Drumright Hospital. Clyde married Audrey (Barrett) July 26, 1930 in Lexington, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife Audrey of the home in Oilton, one daughter Roberta Hoschover, Rancho Cazdeou, Calif.; grandchildren Lynn of Ft. Smith, Lee of Oilton, Lucky, Rogers, Arkansas, Lyle of Drumright; one brother Cecil, two sisters, Lucille and Larraine of Grand Island, Nebraska, six great grandchildren. One son preceded in death Marlin Dean Reams. Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 30, 1985 at 2 p.m. in the Highland Cemetery, Oilton. Under the direction of Peck Funeral Home, Oilton.

Buran D. Reece
Buran D. Reece, 70, of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 1988 at the Wm. Newton Memorial Hospital.
Born January 3, 1918 on a farm in Searcy County, Arkansas, one of three children born to James Barton and Rebecca Williams Reece. He moved as a child with his family to the Keystone, Oklahoma area, receiving his education in Keystone area schools.
He was employed for several years with the Santa Fe Railway Co. as a young man, and was united in marriage to Miss Zona M. Littlepage, April 20, 1940, at Cleveland, Okla.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Reece served with the U.S. Army 222nd Antiaircraft Battalion in New Guinea. Following discharge after three years of military service, he returned to Oklahoma where he operated a service station at Mannford.
The couple moved to Winfield in 1951, where he was employed at Fenneman's Dairy and in maintenance for Oklahoma Tire and Supply Co. for a number of years. He later worked in the maintenance department for Wm. Newton Memorial Hospital for 13 years, retiring in 1983.
The Reeces were Winfield residents for 37 years and he was a longtime member of the American Legion Post No. 10. His favorite leisure time activity was fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Zona, of the home; daughters Mrs. George (Linda) Parker of Udall, Ks.; Mrs. Bob (Wanda) Howard of Livermore, Calif.; sisters Mrs. D. W. (Walsie) Sissom of Mannford; Mrs. Clarence (Willadean) Casy of Skiatook, Ok., and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 28, 2 p.m. at the Miles Memorial Chapel. Interment was in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas City, Ks. A memorial has been established in his name with the Department of Respiratory Services at Wm. Newton Memorial Hospital and contributions may be sent there.
Cecil Eugene Reed
Cecil Eugene Reed was born December 27, 1921, to Vern and Mary Morelock Reed. He joined the United States Navy July 9, 1940 and served six years of which most was spent in the South Pacific during World War II and was honorably discharged as Aviation Chief Machinists Mate on July 9, 1946.
He was emplobyed 12 1/2 years at McDonnell Douglas before joining Rockwell International in 1963, were he retired in 1978.
Gene was raised to a Master Mason in Petroleum Lodge No. 474 in January 1959 and was a Charter Member of the Tulsa Scottish Rite. He served as Royal Patron of Charity Court, Order of the Amaranth in 1966-1967 and was a member of Mannford Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Reed of Mannford; two daughters, Jackie Piper of Tulsa and Sharon Taylor of Glendale, California; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; five sisters, Rose Fox, Daisy Williams, Jessie Canode, Hazel Tate and Lorene Carr, all of Mannford; and one brother, Bud Reed of Mannford; and numberous nieces and nephews.

"CECIL REED SERVICES HELD"
Cecil Eugene (Gene) Reed passed away Aug. 9, 1986 in Tulsa, Okla.
He was born on December 27, 1921 in Mannford, Oklahoma. On Dec. 6, 1961 he was married to Norma Thayer in Miami, Okla. He was a member of the Tulsa Consistory, the American Legion and the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Norma, of the home; two daughters, Jackie Piper, of Tulsa; and Sharon Taylor, of Glendale, California; five sisters, Hazel Tate, Rose Fox, Daisy Williams, Jessie Canode, and Lorene Carr and one brother, Bud Reed, all of Mannford. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Mannford First Baptist Church August 12, 1986 with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Al Lindsay and Rev. Gene Varnell officiated at the services.

Ethel Reed
Ethel Marie (Granny) Reed, 76, of Coyote Trail was given funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, in Mobley-Dodson funeral chapel, Sand Springs.
The Rev. Willard Studebaker, pastor of the Brahma Acres Bible Church, officiated. Mary Beth Houston was soloist, accompanied at the piano by Golda Davis. Burial was in Mannford's Oak Hill Cemetery with Ben Speaker, Gene, Richard and Lynn Bennett, all of Sand Springs, and Gary and Larry Craven, both of Mannford, serving as pall bearers.
Death occurred Friday, May 23, in the ome of a daughter in Tulsa. She was born March 23, 1910 in Calico Rock, Ark. On January 10, 1931 she and Nelis Eli Reed were married in Sand Springs.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Nelis, of the home, are seven children born to them plus a nephew, Leon York, of Warren, Ill. whom she had helped raise from the age of 14 months and Paul Beard of Cleveland, who lived with them for 13 years. She thought of them as her own.
She insisted she had 13 children, not seven, as she also counted her sons and daughters-in-law as her own. Children surviving are Joyce and Ray Jones of Coyote Trail; Jack and Jean Reed of Neosho, Mo.; Bill and Peggy Reed, Neosho; Bob and Marilyn Reed, Mannford; Pat and Bobby Bledsoe, Tulsa; Linda and Don Mendonca, Manhattan, Kan.; and Ronny Reed, Sand Springs.
Grandchildren include Dewayne, Vicki and Clinton Jones, Charles Reed of the US Air Force, Debbie Reed Ball, Dawn Reed Hager, Bobby Reed, Cindy Reed Green, Brenda Reed, Rodney and Kim Bledsoe and Doug and Steve Gordon; nine great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives plus friends also survive.
Sisters surviving are Ruby Worley of Skiatook, Florence Cartwright of Calico Rock, Ark., and Thelma Cagle of Fullerton, Calif.
Everett Edward Reed
Everett Edward Reed, 86, of Jenks, passed away on Sunday, October 25 in a Tulsa hospital.
Mr. Reed was born on Febraury 20, 1901 in Clarksville, Ark., and had lived in the Mannford area for four months.
He was a member of the Mannford First Baptist Church and attended the Mannford Area Senior Citizens.
Mr. Reed was retired from the Harding Glass Plant in Ft. Smith, Ark.
Survivors include Eugenia (Jean) and Bryon Swope, of Mannford, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Sand Springs.
Services were held on Tuesday, October 27 at 1:00 p.m. in Ft. Smith, Ark. Interment was in Clarksville, Ark., under the directin of the Edward's Funeral Home.

Olin C. Reed
Mr. Olin C. Reed, 55, Sand Springs, passed away Thursday morning, April 23, at his home.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at Oak Hills Cemetery in Mannford, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa. Pastor David Pryor officiated at the service.
Mr. Reed was born on March 7, 1932 in Tulsa to Wes and Mary Reed. He married Velda Martin on April 8, 1950, in Arkansas. He was employed by Tulsa Sand Company for 17 years.
Survivors linclude his wife, Velda, of the home; daughters Janice Mills and Kathy Tallent, both of Mannford; sons Dennis and David, both of Sand Springs; brothers Danny Ray of Talihina, Okla., and Charles of Mannford; sisters Lillie Grubb of Mannford; Roberta Peterman of Keystone; and Bonnie Grubb of Sapulpa. Mr. Reed. has eight grandchildren and one self-adopted grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lloyd, Edward and David; and one sister, Dorothy.
Hazel Irene Ferguson Reeder
Hazel Irene Ferguson Reeder died Sunday, October 12, 1986. She had been a patient in Oak Dale Manor, Sand Springs, Oklahoma for 15 years.
Funeral services were held in the Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was buried beside her husband, Joseph Edward Reeder. He died August 12, 1969. They wre married September 13, 1918.
Hazel Reeder was born September 28, 1902 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was baptised in the First Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Edward Reeder of Mannford; three grandchildren: Joe E. Reeder, III, of Sapulpa; Bob Gene Reeder of Stillwater; Mrs. Carol Durbin of Oilton; and one great-grandchild, Jo Laine Reeder.
United States Air Force Technical Sgt. Gene W. Reel, 28, formerly of Mannford and Sand Springs, died Monday, September 1 following an automobile accident in England, where he was stationed.
Reel was born on August 29, 1958 and attended Mannford Public Schools. Prior to his overseas assignment, Reel had been living in Santa Fe, N.M.
His survivors include his wife, Linda Kay, of the home; son Dylan Keith, also of the home; one brother, Glen Harder of Louisville, Ky.
His parents Tim and Maxine Reel, of Mannford, preceded him in death.
Services, being handled by Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home in Sand Springs, are pending.

Memorial services for U.S. Air Force Technical Sgt. Gene W. Reel, 28, of Upper Heyford, England, and formerly of Mannford, were at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mobley-Dodson Chapel with Dr. D. Fletcher officiating.
Mr. Reel died Sept. 1 following an automobile accident in England. He was born on Aug. 29, 1958 in El Paso, Texas, attended the Mannford Public Schools and the University of Maryland and was united in marriage with Linda Kay Greer on July 28, 1978, in Midwest City. He was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Reel of Santa Fe, N.M.; one son, Dylan Keith Reel of the home in Santa Fe, and one brother, Glen Harder of Louisville, Ky.
Arrangements were by Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Tim Leon Reel, of Sand Springs died December 18, 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 42 years old.
He was born on October 10, 1942 in Oklahoma City and married Barbara Hawkins in Wellington, Kansas on December 4, 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; father, Bennie Reel of Mannford; sons, Timmy Dean Reel of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Terrance Allen Reel of the home; sisters, Belva Carter of Sand Springs and Connie Smith and Kasey Brown both of Mannford; brothers Danny Reel and Herbert Reel both of Mannford and one granddaughter.
Services were held at Mobley-Dodson Chapel on December 21, 1985 at 11 a.m. with interment at Woodland Cemetery.
Ottie Mae Reeves
Graveside services for Mrs. Ottie Mae Reeves, Mannford, will be held Thursday in Childers, Texas.
She was born November 19, 1891, in Alabama and died June 24 at the Oak Dale Nursing Home in Sand Springs, she was 93.
Local arrangements were under the direction of the Bailes Funeral Home.
Ruth Pauline Remaklus, 309 E. Oak, died September 18, 1986, at St. John's Medical Center, Tulsa, after suffering a cerebral hemmorhage at her home early the morning before.
Remaklus was born August 25, 1913, in Drumright, to Wilburn and Verna Pound. She was married to Fyrel Remaklus, March 9, 1940, in Drumright where they made their home and operated the Dixie Electric Company until his death.
Survivors include a sister Wilma Taylor of Drumright, a brother Dain Pound of Shawnee and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held September 20 at the Bailes Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Tupper officiating.
Music was by Mrs. Leota Fincher at the organ, Doris Shoemake was the vocalist.
Pallbearers were Bill Scribner, Danny Arnold, Virgil Anderson, Bob Shideler, Bob Botkins and Al Goodman.
Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing under the direction of Bailes Funeral Home.
Ruth Isbelle Reynolds, 119 E. Maple, Drumright, died March 20, 1986, at the Drumright Memorial Hospital. She was born November 3, 1899 at Engadine, Michigan.
Reynolds was a graduate of the Tulsa School of Nursing. As a nurse she came to work in the hospital where she met and married the late Dr. Stephen W. Reynolds, who died February 3, 1958. She is also preceded in death by one sister. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a brother Albert Houser of San Deigo, Calif., sister Jennie Houser of Drumright and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were March 22 in the Bailes Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Tupper of the United Methodist Church officiated. Music was by Mrs. Wilma Mills at the organ and Robert Ward was soloist.
Pallbearers were Carl, C.D. and Phil Osterhout, Dennis Crowe, Loren Frazier and Rick Cartwright.
Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing, under the direction of the Bailes Funeral Home.
Despite the threatening rain which became a downpour as the service was dismissed, a host of friends and neighbors gathered at Lakeside Baptist Church and at Oak Hill Cemetery to pay their last respects to Lester R. Rhoades.
Rhoades died in his home in Mannford Tuesday, February 19th following a long time illness. Services were under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home, Sand Springs.
His son-in-law, Rev. Dale Gowdy officiated, assisted by Lakeside pastor, Vernon Liles and Larry Downum, minister of the Mannford First Baptist Church, where Rhoades had been a long time member, serving as past deacon, Sunday School teacher and building committee chairman.
A tribute was given by Rhoades' son, Harold, and a poem by his daughter, Willa Gowdy, was also read. Soloists were Holly Smith and Margaret Goatcher; Pleas Graven, Herman Gowdy, Bill Barnes, Virgil Bartley, David Hill and John Ross were pallbearers.
Rhoades had come to Mannford in 1943 from Olive where he had been a math teacher, coach, principal and later superintendent over a 6-year period. At Mannford he was high school principal and basketball coach for one year before entering service in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Returning in 1946, he was again principal for two more years.
In August of 1948 he was appointed postmaster, a position he held until retirement in June 1973. He was surpassed in tenure only by his immediate predecessar, Ada Thompson, postmaster for 27 years.
When Mannford began to make plans for the town to move due to the coming of Keystone dam, he joined in, being one of the 13 original directors of the New Mannford Corporation. This was a non-profit group which worked with the U.S. Corps of Engineers, the Mannford Lions Club and the town board in re-location efforts.
For his service, Rhoades was among the founders honored by the Chamber of Commerce at its March 1983 annual banquet.
A good friend to the Keystone Crossroads Historical Society, he donated to it and to the townspeople as a legacy what he called his "most precious possession," the front lower molar of the right jaw of a mastodon, estimated to be between 500,000 and three million years old. This souvenir of his archeological interest was a personal discovery made in 1934 near the Oklahoma panhandle town of Optima, at that time only two other specimens had been located.
Born in Canon City, Colo. October 7, 1907, Rhoades attended and graduated from Panhandle A&M in Goodwell, Oklahoma in 1931. It was there that he met fellow-student Sylvia Schooley, whom he married July 17, 1937 in Hooker.
He also received the M.S. degree from O.S.U. in 1943.
Fishing and gardening were among his hobbies and when he could no longer participate in them actively, he still enjoyed talking about them and watching the activities as a spectator.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia L.; son, Harold Glenn Rhoades, of Muncie, Ind.; a daughter, Willa Gowdy of Cleveland; a brother, Glenn Rhoades of Maud; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Muller and Mrs. Cecil Wyatt, both of Tulsa; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Albie Dunn Rhyne were held April 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Martin Boyles officiated. Music was provided by the Lights of Christ. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born March 7, 1906 at Tishomingo, Oklahoma and died April 2, in the Drumright Memorial Hospital.
She and Lee T. Dunn were married April 26, 1921 at Drumright. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1963. She had been a resident of the Shamrock and Drumright areas since she was a child.
Pall bearers were her grandsons Loyd Prewitt, Mark Hood, Larry and Gary Dunn, Richard Molder and Elm Richberger.
Survivors include sons Harvey Dunn of Sapulpa and James Dunn of Pineville, Oregon; daughters Joan Richberger of Stroud, June Lowe of Freemont, Ca., Ruby Hood of Shamrock, Ok. and Ruth Kiser of Oilton, Ok.; brother Floyd Birge of Tucson, Arizona; sisters Gertrude Macaroeg of Hillsboro, Oregon, Ella Tippton of Sacramento, Ca.; Silva Abbott of Bristow, Ok. and Roseanna Bacon and Rachel Ruberson both of Andrews, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 25, 1987 at 10 a.m. at the Drumright South Cemetery for Robert Lee Rich who died November 21, 1987. Officiating was Rev. George Brock III.
Robert Lee Rich was born January 13, 1941 at Welty, Oklahoma and had made his home in the Drumright area most of his life. Robert had been employed in the Drumright oilfields. He and his wife, Claire, were united in marriage on September 15, 1962 in Drumright. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lessie Lee Rich, one daughter, Mary Margaret Rich and a step-brother, Denver Scotty Baker.
Robert is survived by his wife, Claire of the home; three sons, Robert Jr., Dennis Gene and Johnny, all of Drumright; his father, Melvin Lloyd Rich; one brother, James Rich, Yale; one sister, Wanda Stokes, Oilton; and four grandchildren.
Interment was in the Drumright South Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home.
Donald Bee Richardson, 37, of Shawnee, Ok., passed away February 27, 1988 at Shawnee Medical Center in Shawnee, Ok.
He was born February 26, 1951, the son of Bee and Inez Richardson.
Survivors include his wife Lillie of the home; two daughters, Erika and Danella; and his Mother, Inez Richardson of Shawnee, Ok. He was preceded in death by his father, Bee Richardson. He is also survived by seven brothers - Lee Arthur Kay of Luther, Ok., Gerald Richardson of Long Beach, Ca., Calvin E. of Washington, D.C., Willie Dean of Colorado Springs, Co., Daniel Richardson of Drumright, Ok., and Johnny Richardson of Shawnee, Ok. Mrs. Dora M. Rickner, Route 1 of Drumright, passed away March 10, 1988, at the Drumright Nursing Home.
She was born September 26, 1913 at Collinsville, Oklahoma. Her parents were the late Thomas A. and Rena Combs.
She was united in marriage July 8, 1930 to Ralph R. Rickner at Oilton, Oklahoma. They have made their home in the Drumright and Oilton area until Mr. Rickner proceeded her in death November 11, 1976.
She was a member of the Church of God and the Olive Home Extension Club.
Survivors are three sons: Thomas Rickner, Dennis Rickner, both of Drumright and Donald Rickner of Blackwell, Ok.; three daughters: Billie Halberstadt of Plano, Tx., Dena Kriesel of Rhinelander, Wi., and Rena Duckworth of Loveland, Colo.; one brother, Alvin Combs of Kansas City, Ka.,; fifteen grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Church of God at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 1988 with the Rev. George Brock, III and Rev. Ester Dillon officiating. The music was by Mrs. Susie Krug at the piano and Mrs. Margie Candler sang.
Pallbearers were Mike Rickner, Jerry Rickner, Charles Eisheimer, Bill Teter, Leland Fulkerson and Buddy Teter.
Interment was held in the South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa under the direction of the Bailes Funeral Home.
Ima Jean Rickner, 53, of Route 1 Drumright, passed away at her home July 23, 1985. She was born March 23, 1932 at Bonnerdale, Arkansas. Her parents were James A. and Carrie L. Driggars.
She moved to the Olive area in the fall of 1953 from Arkansas, married Thomas R. Rickner in Hot Springs, Arkansas on December 26, 1953. They have made their home in the Olive area since that time.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Rickner of the home; her mother, Mrs. Carrie Driggars of Glenwood, Arkansas; five brothers. A.J. Driggars of Beggs, Oklahoma; James Driggars of Glenwood, Arkansas; Gerald Driggars of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Carl Driggars of Glenwood, Arkansas; Bill Driggars of Percy, Arkansas and one sister, Mrs. Linda Sue Davis of Glenwood, Arkansas.
Funeral services were held at the Olive Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 26, 1985 with the Rev. George E. Brock, III and Rev. Larry Wallace officiating. Mrs. Carolyn Rickner sand and Mrs. Eliane Rainwater was the organist.
Pallbearers were nephews, Jerry Driggars, Tom Driggars, Glen Driggars, Tim Driggars, Dennis Rickner, David Rickner.
Honorary pallbearers were Jay Driggars, Dusty Driggars, Jim Driggars, Barry Davis, Ronnie Driggars, Buddy Kriesel, Jr., Steven Duckworth, Tommy Hallerstadt, Butch Hallerstadt.
Interment was in South Heights Cemetery, in Sapulpa, under the direction of Bailes Funeral Home.

Funeral services for William Allen Rickstrew were held January 17, 1987, at 2 p.m. at the Oilton First Baptist Church. He died January 15 in Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 48. He was born June 13, 1938 to Carol T. and Merle Ethel (Humphrey) Rickstrew.
He and the former Lonna Chambers were married on November 15, 1973, at Sapulpa, Ok. He worked for many years for Seismograph Service Corporation of Tulsa, his position was that of Foreign Operations Equipment Supervisor. He also served in the Oklahoma National Guard.
Rickstrew is survived by his wife, Lonna of the Oilton home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carol T. Rickstrew of Stillwater; sister, Dorothy Ruth Nixon of Stillwater; children, Timothy Ty of Oilton and Stephen William Rickstrew of Amherst, Mass., Tammy Theresa Fost of Beufort, S.C., Nancy Carol Jackson of El Paso, Texas, and Vicki Lynn Higgins of Stillwater and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Peck Funeral Home of Oilton.
"CUSHING MAN FOUND BEATEN"
August the 31st at 10:10 p.m., a resident in the area of Silver City, west of Mannford, reported that a car was parked in the middle of old 51 highway, 1.02 mile west of Silver City Store. Mannford Police Department reported the vehicle to a Creek County Deputy, who upon arrival found a man thought to have been beaten.
Creek County Deputy called an ambulance and the Drumright ambulance responded. Subject was taken to Drumright Memorial Hospital, where he was kept until the following day, when he was moved to St. Francis in Tulsa by Life Flight.
Ronald Lee Riffe, 27, white male, was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m. according to the St. Francis Hospital. The body was taken to the Tulsa Medical Examiners. The cause of death has not been released but officials believe it to have been caused by head injuries.
Riffe was a married man with no children. He made his residendce in Cushing.
After an investigation made by Creek County Deputies, a suspect has been placed into custody and charges of 1st Degree man slaughter are expected to be filed against Steve DeShazer, 26, white male, of Drumright.
Creek County Sheriff Office gave no motive at this time. DeShazer was placed in County Jail.
Funeral services for James A. Ritter, Cushing, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Drumright. Ben Lacy will officiate. Interment will be in the Flynn Memorial Cemetery in Cushing. Music will be provided by Wilma Mills.
Pall bearers will be Raymond and Tommy Moore, Ron Burns, Bill Bean, Bill Crutchfield and Bill Newberry.
Ritter was born to Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Ritter at Emporia, Kansas, on April 27, 1954 and died early Sunday morning in an oil field accident, he was 30. For the past 14 years he had been a resident of this community.
He and his wife, Rhonda were married in Van Buren, Arkansas. Children surviving are sons Brian Lee of Liberty, Kansas, and Mitchell Don and daughter Jenny Lee Ritter both of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Other survivors include his parents A. J. and Martha Ritter of Drumright; brothers Delbert of Cushing and Clifton Ritter of Tulsa and sisters Hazel and Maria Ritter and Linda Wagoner all of Drumright.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Pearl Audie Robbins, 912 N.W. 13, Oklahoma City, formerly of Drumright, died at the Baptist Medical Center December 31, 1986.
Robbins was born May 2, 1902 at Ada, Oklahoma. Her parents, Henry and Nellie Bingham moved to the Drumright-Shamrock area in the early 1920s. For a number of years she lived in Denver City, Texas, where she operated a beauty salon until she moved back to Drumright in 1970. She operated her shop here until she retired after 52 years of service.
While in Texas she served as the Grand Chaplin of the Grand Lodge of Rebekahs. She was a member of the Drumright Chapter of Eastern Stars and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors are sons Earl and Carrol T. Husband of Oklahoma City and Jim Robbins of Houston, Texas; brother Leonard Medlock of Newhall, Calif.; sisters Edith Johns of Oklahoma City and Grace Brown of Drumright; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held at 2 p.m. January 3 in the Bailes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Music was by Leota Fincher at the organ and vocalist Doris Shoemaker.
Pallbearers were Eugene Brown, Kent Montgomery, Junior Medlock, James Johns, Claude Morrow and Claude Hicks.
Interment was in the Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes Funeral Home.
Christine Roberts
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 7, 1987 at 10 a.m. at Euchee Valley Memorial Park for Christine Roberts. Christine died March 5, 1987 at the Drumright Nursing Home. Officiating at the services was Rev. K. Ray McDowell.
Christine Roberts was born November 2, 1915 in Tennessee. Christine had made her home in Oklahoma for the past 69 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Drumright.
Christine is survived by two sons, Forrest Roberts, Houston, Texas and Ron Roberts, Silver City, Oklahoma and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home.
Graveside services for Montsey Roberts were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Jennings Cemetery.
He was born to the late Eugene and Margaret Roberts on January 15, 1885 in Missouri and died February 14 in the Cushing Regional Hospital
On October 29, 1963, he and his wife, Laura, were married. She preceded him in death on December 4, 1977.
At the time of his death he was a patient of the Drumright Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer and veteran of World War I.
He is survived by a sister Clara Potts of Kingman, Arizona.

Funeral services were held for Perry Joseph Robertson at the Church of Christ on June 20 at 10:30 a.m. Services were directed by Peck Funeral Home.
Perry Joseph Robertson, born November 30, 1887 in Boone County, Arkansas, to James Bellville Robertson and Tabith Smart. He had 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Perry married Ella Minerva Campbell on March 21, 1914 in Boone County, Arkansas by the mayor of Everton in his home. At the time he was farming. Their first child, Voncille, was born March 14, 1915 and died March 1, 2 years later. Ercel was born December 17, 1917, and died December, 1980. G. B. was born April 26, 1921 and is now living in Tinley Park, Illinois. Bettie, their 4th child, was born Feb. 15, 1931 and lives in Muskogee, Ok. Ella preceded him in death. She died June 1949.
Perry went to work for the Texaco Oil Company in 1925 as a roustabout and retired at 65 in 1952. He started teaching singing school in 1908 at Everton. He sang tenor in gospel quartets wherever he lived.
His love for music was utilized as song leader and longtime member of Oilton Church of Christ.
Perry is survived by 2 children, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He is remembered as a loving gentle man, with great determination and strength.
His love and concern for his family were uppermost in his thoughts and prayers, and the love of our Savior Jesus Christ was evident through the life he lived for Him.
Doris Juanita Robinson, 58, died Friday, July 3, 1987 in Ketchum, Ok. at her cabin on Grand Lake.
Doris was born in Nowata, Ok. on November 22, 1928 to the Wanda Hall Harney and the late William Harney.
She married Kenneth J. Robinson on November 17, 1946 at Nowata, Ok. She attended school at Alluwe, Ok. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her mother Wanda Yirsa of Nowata, Ok.; her husband, Kenneth J. Robinson of the home; one son, Steve Robinson of Tulsa, Ok. one daughter, Terri Morris of Drumright, Ok. and three grandchildren. Also one sister, Donna Dix of Duncan, Ok. One brother, Jim Harney, preceded her in death March 20, 1987.
Services were held Monday, July 6, 1987 at 3:30 p.m. in the Benjamin Funeral Chapel, Nowata, Ok. with Pastor Dr. Allen Schneider officiating.
Interment was held at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service.

Virginia Lee Robinson, born April 28, 1957 in Grand Island, Neb. to Lola and Marlin Reams, died in her home on December 12, 1987 at the age of 30.
Steven Leo Robinson, born January 16, 1956 in Cushing, Ok. to Billie and Leo Robinson, died in his home on December 12, 1987 at the age of 31.
They are survived by their children Cheyenne Duane of Pawhuska, Ok.; Jennifer Michelle of Oilton; Dustin Dewayne of Oilton; and Stephanie Lee of Oilton.
Virginia Lee is survived by her mother Lola; one sister - Lynn Reams; two brothers - Lyle Dean Reams and Clyde Raymond Reams; and her grandmother - Banny Reams.
Preceding her in death are her father - Marlin Dean Reams and her grandfather - Clyde Raymond Reams.
Steven Leo is survived by his mother Billie; his father Leo; one sister - Marsha Gail Siler; and his grandpa - Homer Clyde Robinson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 29, 1987 at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Drumright, for E. Lee Rodebush. Mr. Rodebush died September 26, 1987 at the Bristow Hospital. Officiating was Rev. Robert Tupper. Music was provided by vocalist Denette Cochran and organist was Mrs. A. C. Wiemer. Serving as pallbearers were Jackie Cochran, Steve Crowder, J. T. Waldrop, Mike Matherly, Tom Dowdy and Harvey Robertson. Honorary pallbearers were Tom McAdams, Delmar Dowdy and Gene Morton.
E. Lee Rodebush was born November 25, 1927 at Bristow, Ok. Lee and his wife, Betty, were united in marriage on June 4, 1949 at Andrews, Texas. They have made their home in Shamrock since moving there in 1973. Mr. Rodebush had served in the United States Air Force during WW II and had been associated with McAdams Pipe and Service in Bristow. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Drumright.
His survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and James Robertson, Shamrock; two sisters, Oma Matherly, Shamrock and Faye Martin, Breckenridge, Texas; one granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Robertson, Shamrock and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment was in the Shamrock Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home.
Ralph Rodebush, 80, passed away June 28, 1985 at the Drumright Nursing Home.
He was born March 10, 1905 at Paden, Oklahoma and was married to Ruth Minnie Munns January 13, 1926 at Shamrock, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on December 21, 1981.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 1985 at the Bailes Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Francis Boyer, assisted by Rev. Lamont Henderson. Music was by Terena Powers and Carolyn Rickner.
Pallbearers were Edd Rodebush, Donald Rodebush, Joe Powers, Ronnie Rodebush, Doug Rodebush, Terry Rodebush, Johnny Justus, Richard McQuain.
Survivors are three sons, Leon Rodebush of Los Lunis, New Mexico, Leo Rodebush of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Eldon Rodebush, Drumright. Three sisters, Mrs. Clara Hood and Mrs. Vertie Phillips both of Shamrock, and Mrs. Jean Holmes of Stroud, Oklahoma, and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Bailes Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 26, 1096 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Drumright, for Hazel Rodelander. Rev. Robert Tupper, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiated.
Hazel was born December 22, 1899 at Butler, Pennsylvania and moved to Drumright in 1913. Hazel, and her husband, John Ervin Rodelander, had made their home in Drumright until his death in 1977, at which time she moved to Tulsa. While in Drumright, Hazel was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Phythian Sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Aileen Delong and Rogene Smith, both of Tulsa. Three sons, Clovis Eugene Rodelander, Casper, Wyoming, Robert L. Rodelander, Raleigh, North Carolina and Keith Wayne Rodelander, Raleigh, North Caroline. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home.

Ronald J. Rogers, 56, of Hoisington, Kansas died Wednesday, January 7th at 8:30 p.m. following a lengthy illness. He was the son of Lavina Rogers, of Jennings, and the late Lynn Rogers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 10th, 1987 at the Christian Church in Hallett. Burial was in Hallett Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Graveside funeral services for Blanche Anna Rookstool were held at 11 a.m. January 30 at the Highland Cemetery in Oilton.
She was born to Mary and James Steele on April 29, 1901, in Lafayette County, Missouri, and died January 28, 1987, in the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa, she was 85.
On March 13, 1921, in Oilton she and Carl Rookstool were married.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean of Tulsa; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Steele of Drumright and sister, Bertha Steele, of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by two sons, her husband, Jim and one grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Peck Funeral Home of Oilton.
Services for Ernest Morton Roop, Jr., 67, 1003 E. Johnson St., were held at 11:30 a.m. last Friday at the First United Methodist Church, the Rev. W. Harlan Rittgers officiated. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at Ford Cemetery, Ford.
Mr. Roop died Monday evening, Dec. 2, at St. Catherine Hospital following a short illness. Born on August 11, 1918 at Mannford, Okla., he married Ramona Lovette on Sept. 20, 1940 at Ford.
He moved to Ford from Mannford, Okla., when he was in high school. Following graduation, he worked in St. Louis as a bookeeper. He moved back to Ford and married Ramona Lovette.
He farmed for a few years and then enlisted in the Army where he served for two years in Germany in World War II. After the war he returned to Ford where he owned and operated Farmers Cash Grocery for 25 years.
In 1970 he sold his grocery store and took a job with the state agriculture department as a meat inspector. He and his wife moved to Garden City where he worked until his retirment in May 1984.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and past president of the Optimist Club, both of Garden City, and the Masonic Lodge, Bucklin.
Surviving are his wife, of the home; three sons, Ronald, Caldwell, and Alan, Sharon Springs; and one daughter, Betty Gracey, Cheney; three brothers, Delbert, Fresno, Calif., Jack, Wichita, and Jim, Midland, Texas; three sisters, Evelyn Nantz, Tulsa, Okla., Irene Waser, Washington, and Ruby, Wichita.
Mary Biddie Rosebeary, 85, Mannford, died Ausut 10, 1984. Mrs. Rosebeary was born February 22, 1899 at Barberville, Ky. to Joseph and Ellen Matlock. She had been a Mannford resident for three years, having moved here from Wichita, Kansas.
Mrs. Rosebeary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Survivors are: daughters, Wilma Dinell, Mannford, and Lillie Molder, Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by son Edward and Raymond Dudlley Roberts.
Also surviving are a sister, Nan McNatt, Silverton, Oregon, 38 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. graveside rites at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford with Rev. David Cressman, officiating. The services were under the direction of the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Chapel.
Mannford area resident Elton Stewart Ross, age 58, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 1986, at Mannford, an apparent drowning victim.
He was born Oct. 1st, 1927 in Shellton, Neb. and was married to Edith Fay Eschrich in Miami, OK, before making their home just west of Mannford.
Survivors include his wife, Fay, of the home; two daughters, Linda Lovercamp of Mannford and Cindy Thompson of Blue Springs, MO.; two sons, Stewart Ross of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Second Lt. Richard Baker of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Ohio; one brother, Franklin Ross of Carlisle, Iowa and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19th, at 3:30 p.m. at Mobley-Dodson Chapel in Sand Springs. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Mannford, Bishop Robert Eschrich will be officiating.

MAN DROWNS
Elton Stewart Ross, age 58, a long time resident of the Mannford area lost his life Sunday afternoon when he fell into a pond and drowned.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. Sunday, the Mannford Police Department received a call from Mrs. Ross saying her husband was missing. The call was turned over to the Creek County Authorities and several officers and friends of the family began searching the area between the Ross' home and Viner Road where Mr. Ross was last seen walking.
Lake Patrolman, Tony Richardson stated that at about 3:30 p.m. Mr. Larry Jacobson discoverd the body of Mr. Ross floating in a pond located 1/4 mile North of Viner Road on the property of Jack Dunlop. Richardson stated that Jacobson pulled the body from about four feet of water and Mannford Ambulance attendents started CPR as soon as they arrived, but were unable to revive the man.
Richardson stated the drowning was accidental.

Elton S. Ross, 58, of Rt. 1, Mannford, was discovered drowned in a farm pond northeast of his residence Sunday afternoon, February 16.
The Creek County Sheriff's office was notified earlier that Ross was a missing person. Local people around the neighborhood and seriff's department personnel conducted a search for him and at 3:30 p.m. his body was discovered floating on the pond.
Mannford ambulance with emergency medical technicians arrived in case of need for resuscitation but Mr. Ross was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical examiner from Drumright.
Officers assisting were Deputy Harry Fisher and Ron Morris, Trooper Tony Richardson, a member of the Lake Patrol and Mannford Police Chief Orlin White.
Mr. Ross' body was taken by Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home attendants for burial arrangements.
Services for Elton Stewart Ross will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, in Mobley-Dodson Lakeside Chapel with Bishop Robert Eschrich of the Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Mannford's Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Mobley-Dodson.
A maintenance technician for the state of Oklahoma, Mr. Ross was born in Shelton, Neb. October 1, 1927 to Clarence Emil Ross and Grace Geneva Ellis Ross.
He and his wife, the former Edith Fay Eschrich, who survives him, were married in Miami, OK.
Additional survivors are two daughters, Linda Lovercamp of Mannford and City Thompson of Blue Springs, Mo.; two sons, Stewart Ross of Las Vegas, Nev., and 2nd Lt. Richard Baker of Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; one brother, Franklin Ross of Carlisle, Iowa; seven grandchildren and two nephews.
Funeral services for John Rossander were held Friday, 2 p.m. at the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. Charles Rutland and Lonnie Hall officiated. Interment was in Magnolia Memorial Cemetery.
He was born October 23, 1904 at Cushing Indian Territory and died February 7, at the Bristow Nursing Home, he was 79. He had lived in the Bristow area 75 years.
He was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.
He and the former Iva Millhouse were married February 11, 1926 at the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home and sisters Hilma Hammond and Cecil Majors of Bristow and Vera Lang of Stillwater.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Hutchins-Maple Funeral Home of Bristow.
Carl E. Rowland, born August 18, 1913 in Little Rock, Ark. to Myrtie and Charles Rowland, died March 2, 1988 in the Drumright Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.
Carl married Hazel Brown on June 26, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Ok. From this union became one child, June Lanier of Miami Beach, Florida.
Carl is survived by his wife, June, of the home in Oilton and his daughter, June.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 3, 1988 at 1:15 p.m. with burial in Oklahoma City under the direction of Peck Funeral Home, Oilton.

Alberta Rusco died December 7, 1987 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. She was born to Alta and Harry Schonfield on July 30, 1912 in Bristow, Ok.
Alberta married Armon Nelson Rusco on December 7, 1929 in Fayetteville, Ark. From this union are nine children: Juanita Reed of Oilton; Virginia Gates of Silver City; Jencie Felix of Kellyville; Harvey Rusco of Silver City; Harry Rusco of Silver City; Billy Rusco of Yale; David Rusco of Silver City; and Paul Rusco of Olive.
Her husband Armon, one son, Jim and four grandchildren preceded her in death.
Other survivors include 34 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grancdhileren; four brothers, Albert and Abner of Bristow; Amos of Fresac, Ca.; and Omar Schonfield of Oilton; and one sister, Elnora Irwin of Bristow.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 10, 1987 at the Silver City Freewill Baptist Church. Interment was in the Oilton Cemetery under the direction of Peck Funeral Home, Oilton.

Alberta Rusco passed away in the Cushing Hospital. Her funeral was held at Silver City Freewill Baptist Church last Thursday. She was buried in Oilton Cemetery. Rev. David Bigger, a former pastor, preached her funeral with an over flowing crowd. She was a long time resident of Silver City. She leaves her family and a host of friends.

Jimmy Rusco died last week. His funeral was held Monday at Silver City Free Will Baptist Church. He was 60 years old. His grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. Armon Rusco came to Creek County in a covered wagon in 1900. He had been ill for some time. He leaves many relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Roy R. Russell, 176 Greenbrier Circle, Mannford, were held at the Mannford Church of Christ at 11 a.m. January 20. The Rev. Ralph Baldwin officiated. He was assisted by Ron Babbitt. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, Okla.
Russell was born October 24, 1905, near Durant in Indian Territory, to Ben and Julia Russell, and died Wednesday at his home, he was 78.
He was a charter member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol having joined the organization in 1937 when it was formed. He was a retired superintendent of Mannford schools, he retired in 1956 after 10 years of service and was a member of the Mannford Church of Christ where he served as an elder.
Survivors include his wife Kate of the home; son Lynn Russell of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Mrs. Beth Murdock of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Gayle Johns of Ada, Okla., and Mrs. Ann Tugman of Amber, Okla.; brothers Eulys of Phoenix, Ariz., Otho of Oklahoma City, Ray of Winnewood, Ok. and Alva Russell of Lindsey, Okla.; sisters Mrs. Anna Eatmon of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Ruby Thurman of Brownwood, Texas, and Mrs. Ruth Sitter of Lawton, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pall bearers were his grandsons Kelly and Kerry Murdock, Randy and Ronny Johns, Chris Russell and Rusty Tugman.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Bailes Funeral Home.
