Woodlawn Elementary School was one of the first schools built in Sapulpa. It was located on the East side of Sapulpa near what is now Taft Street (Highway 117). Woodlawn Elementary School was torn down and the children transferred to the New Woodlawn School which is located south of the present Sapulpa High School.
The picture below was taken in about 1912 or 1913, the year when Leonard Earl Strain was in the first or second grade. He is pictured on the back row of seated children, fourth from the left.
