This week we finish presenting the obituaries found on page 56 of the September 1929 (Volume 50, Number 4) edition of The Texas Druggist. (Some punctuation may be added or deleted in the narrative for clarity. Surnames are capitalized for emphasis.)

“Sam SEARS, 78, was brought to Henrietta, Friday morning, September 6, from Amarillo, where he died, and was buried beside his wife and children. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. W. S. IKARD of this place [i. e., Henrietta] and was a former citizen and the first druggist of Henrietta.”

The heading for the following death notice is given as Dr. Hamilton SQUIBB, but only his initials are used in the item itself.

“Dr. E. H. SQUIBB, a son of the founder of the House of Squibb and a director of E. R. Squibb & Sons since 1905, died suddenly at his summer home at South Harwich, Mass., on July 7. Accompanied by his grandchildren, he had been enjoying the surf bathing when he suddenly left the water and started up the beach. He had taken but a few steps when he collapsed.”

The principals of the new firm remain the same: Mr. DE WOODY, president; J. W. ALLEN, vice president; H. E. HENRY, secretary; and F. Z. WILLIAMS, treasurer.
