The items below can be found in a column about happenings in the Good Hope community.

“Mr. and Mrs. Ray HARRISON and children spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Orland HARRISON.

     School closes here this week.

Everybody [is] invited to the singing Sunday evening.

We are proud of the 4-4 (sic) club organized by Mr. MOOSEBERG. There are ...fifteen members. We will meet each fourth Monday night and will be glad to have new members.”
(Editor’s note: 4-4 should read 4-H. As county agent for Shelby County, John Mooseberg was very active in founding and improving 4-H clubs in the area. A short biography of him appears on page 535 of History of Shelby County, Texas, 1988 compiled by the Shelby County Historical Commission and published by the Curtis Media Corporation in Dallas in 1988.)
