Rebecca Jane Peach and Samuel Andrew Bryant Family

Rebecca Jane Peach Bryant was the daughter of Alfred Peach, (son of James and Rebecca Peach), and Sarah Elizabeth Layton, (daughter of Patrick and Delilah Drakeford Layton).  Both the Peach family and the Layton and Drakeford families were from  Kershaw Co. SC.  They moved to Pickens Co. AL for a few years and then to Saltillo, MS area and then on to Texas.  Rebecca Jane Peach was born   Sept. 15, 1861 and  died Feb. 5, 1939 in Burkburnett, TX (in Wichita Co.)  She married Samuel Andrew Bryant  on Sept. 7, 1879.  They were the parents of:

1.  Lela Bryant b. March 19, 1881 and d. April 5, 1918

2.   Lonnie b. Dec. 16, 1882 and died June 13, 1888

3.   Ida Bell Bryant b.  Oct. 19, 1883 and d. Jan. 4, 1947.   Married Richard Tilden  Chestnutt.

4.  James Monroe Bryant, b. Nov. 20, 1886 and died Feb. 22, 1951 in Wichita County, TX town of Burkburnett, TX.

5.  Emry Terrell Bryant, b. Jan. 19, 1889 in Ennis TX  and died Ot. 11, 1959 in Muleshoe, TX (Bailey County)

6.  Luther Bryant b. June 9, 1894 in Johnson Co. TX and d. June 23, 1955

7.   Eunie Alice Bryant, b. July 11, 1896 in Venus TX and died April 17, 1971.  She died of acute intestinal obstruction.

9.  Zella Mae Bryant b. Sept. 19, 1899 and d. Jan. 5, 1989

10.  Victor b. Nov. 20, 1903 in Ellis Co. TX
