IN MEMORIAM
Minnie Kneen, daughter of John and Elizabeth Kneen, was born on the Isle of Man, August 20, 1864, and died at the home of her parents in Hartley, December 14, 1902. This in less than two years the death angel has entered this home three times, each time removing a loved daughter. This bereaved home strongly appeals to the sympathy of all.
While the deceased has been ill for some time past her case had not been regarded as serious on the part of her friends until a few days before she died. She was with her sister in South Dakota and cared for her in her last sickness. After her sister's death she returned home and not feeling strong she went to spend a few days with friends in Minnesota. She was gone but a short time when she grew much worse, and returned home only to live for about a week. For a number of days before her death her suffering was intense at times.
She was very kind hearted and had endeared herself to many by her readiness to render assistance to all. She had never united with any church or made an open profession of religion, but when she realized that the end was near she was anxious to make her peace with God. Her parents and her friends prayed with and for her and from the testimony given just a few hours before she passed away, fell assured that she was accepted by the Christ who died to save sinners.
The funeral service was held in the Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. O. S. Bryan preaching the sermon.
