ONEIDA -- Feb. 25 -- Mrs. Sarah Myer, widow of Isaac Skellham, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Abner Knight, this morning, aged about 65 years.  She is survived by four sons, Edward of Munnsville, William of Vernon, Charles and Ira of this city.  Besides the daughter, at whose home she died, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Adam Jacobs of Syracuse and Mrs. Andrew Hoffman of Rome.  She was a member of St. John's Church, where funeral services will probably be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Services Held Today for Mrs. Nancy Aday
Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy D. Aday, 73, were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the New Brick church in the Brick community, with Rev. L. D. Overton, pastor of the First Pentecostal church of Sheffield, officiating. Burial followed in the New Brick cemetery. Mrs. Aday died in the home of her son, John H. Aday, on the Second street road, Sheffield, route 1, at 3:05 o’clock Tuesday afternoon after and illness of 10 days. She had lived in that community for the past 38 years, having come there from Franklin County. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Austin, Mrs. Myrtle Streit, Mrs. Lennie McGill, Mrs. Effie Ledlow, and Mrs. Blanche Austin, all of Sheffield; four sons, John H. Aday of Sheffield, route 1, and Herbert Aday, Lee Aday, and Gene Aday, all of Leighton; 54 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and other relatives. Active bearers at the funeral were Paul Osborn, James Liles, Louis Trousdale, Naylon Palmer, C. W. Steveson, and Luther Nichols. Arrangements were by Chisholm of Florence.

Willis Herbert Aday, 71, Rt. 1, Sheffield, died Thursday at Colbert County Hospital after a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Colbert County, a retired farmer, a member of the Pentecostal Church. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Old Brick Presbyterian Church with Rev. L.D. Overton and Rev. Bobby Walton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Spry of Sheffield directing. The body will be at the residence until the funeral hour. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Mae Aday; sons, Buford and George Aday, Rt. 1. Jennie Fay Wilkes, age 72, of Killen, passed away June 2, 2019. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Thursday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Stan Dean officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wilkes was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. Having a big heart, she would go out of her way to help anyone at any time. Thanksgiving Day Is Very Special
November 29 marks the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Austin of Route One, Sheffield, yet today brings special memories to mind for the couple.
The Austins were married on Thanksgiving Day, 1917, in the parsonage of the Old Brick Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Orman was the officiating minister. They have seven children: Mrs. Ruth Weinbaum, Mrs. Beulah Meadows, Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson, Mrs. Frances Whitehead, Mrs. Glenn Reynolds, Mrs. Betty Bogle and Mrs. Peggy Terry. There are 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Austin will receive a complimentary subscription to The Times Tri-Cities Daily.
