Will |
7 October 1625 |
Francis Aldis left a will on 7 October 1625. Information given by Moffatt about Francis Aldis' will is that it shows him as "of Toftmonks," although he had earlier been "of Fressingfield." He left to son Nathan the house in Fressingfield where Nathan was then living but stated that his wife was to have the "best parlor" in the house. The will stated that sons John and Nathan were to pay certain bequests to the other heirs since they had been deeded his free lands in Fressingfield. The will also mentioned Nathan's daughter Mary, the widow and children of son Nathaniel, and the four children of Anne. Ms Moffatt stated that Toft Monks (modern spelling) is across the Norfolk border, 15 miles northeast of Fressingfield.1 |
