Immigration 27 September 1752  He immigrated on 27 September 1752 to Philadelphia. Jacob Mussgenug was among the passengers on the ship Nancy, from Rotterdam last from Cowes.3 
Will 1798  Johannes Jacob Mussgenung left a will in 1798 at Lehigh County (then Northampton), PA. Jacob Musgenung's will made specific bequests to his daughter Dorothea, andgranddaughters Salome and Catherine Schwartz, daughters of his daughter Christina. He mentioned the faithful service given by Catherine to "my late wife." After that, he stated that his remaining estate should be divided among his children so that his two sons Jacob and David should each receive 100 pounds more than their sisters. The sisters were not named. Executors named were friend Gottfried Knauss and son-in-law Peter Rhoads.1
