Marriage 1736  Jacob Kennamer married Barbara Becker, daughter of John Becker and Barbara ?, in 1736 at York, PA.2 
Death circa 1755  Jacob Kennamer died circa 1755 at Fairfield Co SC. 
Note   First record of him is arrival on ship 1732, age 16.

Next record is baptism of Ann Maria and John, children of Jacob and Barbara Gannemer, by a Lutheran pastor in 1741 and 1745 in Codorus settlement, York Co PA.

Abt 1755 moved to VA or NC, later to Fairfield Co SC

Ann Maria was sponsored by Ulrich Buehler and wife
John was sponsered by John and Barbara Becker

Next record Hance Kennamer takes deed to land in Fairfield SC in 1771. Later on John Kennamer purchased land adjoining Hance. Also 1790 census shows George Kennemore in Fairfield Co


The above was from Willard Kennamer. He said between PA and SC Jacob lived in NC or VA. But in The Early History and European Origin of Kennener by Harkness Kenimer, it cites a land record where Jacob acquired 25 acres in 1747 in MD. Another deed shows where Jacob Kennamar and wife Barbara sold the land in 1751.

Harkness Kenimer has documented that the Steffa Kenema who came over in 1732 is Hans Stephen Genheimer from the Palatinate.

Death after 1732  Hans Staffa Genheimer died after 1732 at ?Codorus, York Co PA. 
Note   Staffa Kennema (Stephen Kennemar) age 60 and Jacob Kennema age 16 arrived at Philadelphia 9/26/1732 having sailed from Rotterdam, Holland on the ship Mary. Stephen took the oath of allegiance.

From Harkness Kenimer (found at www.kennamer.com. Hans Stephen Genheimer was born in Oppau in 1678, was widowed in 1798 after having been married to Catharina Volcker. I wonder if this is a misprint. Who then was mother of the 3 children?

Hans Stephen is mentioned in the tax list of 1721 as lessee of the Schonauer Estate in Oppau. Was mayor of Oppau in 1708.

kenimer references a book by Oskar Poller, The History of the CIty of oppau Ludwigshafen, the Population of Oppau and Edigheim, 1480-1813.

Something has just dawned on me (my wife says that since I am retired, my
brain has retired too) - I have shown Catharina Volcker (wife of Hans

Genheimer) as the mother of Jacob Genheimer. However, according to info

I have read recently, Catharina may have died in 1708 - and Jacob was born

1714.

Note   Joseph and Jane and his brothers and wives were charter members of the Matrimony Church founded 1776 , located on Matrimony Creek (in the northern part of Rockingham Co near Henry Co VA). Joseph served as adeacon until at least 1814 (records end then).3

Fact 1 26 February 1793  On 26 February 1793, at Rockingham County, NC,, Joseph Hopper bought from John Harper for 20 pounds 50 acres lying on the waters of Little Buffalow Creek. No neighbor lines mentioned and no landmarks other than the creek and various trees. Witnesses were Nathan Linden, Nathaniel Tatum and Robert Small..6 
Census 1800  Joseph S. Hopper appeared on the census of 1800 at Rockingham County, NC, as follows: males 0 1 0 0 1 females 1 1 4 0 1.7 
Fact 1 30 November 1801  On 30 November 1801, at Rockingham County, NC,, Joseph Hopper recorded a land grant (Number 434) for 115 and a half acres on the waters of little Buffalow Creek adjoining George Harstin, William Hopper and his own line. This and the 1793 purchase of 50 acres are the only listings in the Rockingham County deed index for Joseph Hopper before 1829. There were no listings for him as grantor..8

  William Hopper was the son of Thomas Hopper and Ann ?.1 
Death before 1783  William Hopper died before 1783 at Rockingham County, NC.2 
Note   Some websites say William was the s/o David Hopper. But I have never seen a real source for this relationship. I understand that David Hopper did have a son named William, but I've seen no evidence that it's the Matrimony Creek William. 
Fact 1 between 1753 and 1773  "Another Hopper family entered the area of NC that is now Rockingham Co, then Rowan, in 1750...lived near the NC/VA line.. first on Matrimony Creek, a branch of the Dan River, in NC and later some lived on Smith River in Henry Co Va.
The first of record was William Hopper, who was surveying land in present Rockingham in 1753. In 1761, he obtained a grant of 710 acres which was not confirmed. A grant of 510 acres from the Earl of Granville on May 10, 1762 was confirmed, and in 1763 he sold 255 acres in Rowan Co...In 1773 he signed a petition....3 
Fact 1 between 1776 and 1778  From Sept 28, 1776 to June 14, 1778, William served as Quartermaster Sergeant in the Rev War. There is no direct evidence of his marriage and children, but in 1783, a William Hopper, Jr deeded to Thomas Hopper 185 acres, which was a portion of the land in the grant to the earlier William. Logic leads to the conclusion that the two Wms are father and son. Other transactions occur betw Wm Jr, Thomas, Darby, Joseph and Joshua Hopper who are believed almost conclusively to be brothers. All of these are listed on the rolls of Matrimony Church, constituted on Sept 17, 1776..1
