Date: Sat, 23 Oct 1999 21:53:45 -0500 From: PEARL MCDONALD To: [email protected] While digging through boxes in the attic I found an old box of correspondence from 1979. I wrote to a number of Stitt's asking for family history and received some replies. These are not in my Stitt line but might help someone else. Since these people were kind enough to share their information with me and 20 years have gone by, I don't think these individuals would mind my passing this information on to the Stitt List. >From Madge Harding, Riverside, California April 16, 1979 I have Judge James T. Daniel Strunk1
Note |
|
Daniel lived near the Blevinses in the Helton area and several Blevins land entries refer to Daniel Strunk's line or Strunk's Branch
However, Ron quotes other land entries which mention other Strunks:
Wells Blevins - Ashe County Deed, July 14,1800 - 165 acres on Helton's Creek, line between John Strunk and William Huff for 65 pounds, from Stephen Creech.
Capt James Blevins in 1816, at the age of 20 purchased two parcels of land from Levi Blevins; 100 acres on Silas Creek which was attested by Joseph Blevins Jr and William Strunk; and 75 acres of Peter Little's original survey, which was attested by Joseph Blevins and Welse Blevins.
1815 Wells Blevins - Ashe County Tax List - Wells Blevins, Joseph Blevins, Daniel Strunk all on Big Helton Creek; - James Blevins on Silases Creek. |
