Recent History

With both Netscape and Internet Explorer, if you have the browser open, press CTL H for History.  In IE, it will bring up a side window in the browser that contains the links visited.  In Netscape, it brings up a separate window with the links visited and the time and date.  Both can be searched (IE with the search menu option at the top of the history list and Netscape, in the Edit, Search History List).  If you have forgotten to bookmark (favorites) a particular website, this is a good way to find it again. The history list will also tell you the date and time so that you will more easily recognize the correct one.

Inserting photos

Netscape

Thanks to Elaine for this one:

I am using OE, and on the top of your e-mail, there is "insert".  There is a choice for "insert picture" if you are using HTML format.  Click on "insert", and a box comes up, and click on "browse", then choose the file you want to insert, and click "OK", and it will be in your e-mail.  You can also add sounds by using the "format", then click on "background", then "sound", and use the same procedure that you used to insert the picture.

The same is available in Netscape.  Its not the default, but if you use the html editing, then the insert becomes available as well.

Editing

Cut and Paste addresses in your browser

Folded addresses in an email

Hold down the mouse button while you drag the cursor over the first line in your email and then press CTL C (Control key pressed while pressing the "C") to copy, you can then paste that into the address line of your browser.  Now go back to the email and do the same thing with the second line.  Go back to the browser, click in the address line AND PRESS THE END KEY.  This will remove the highlighting which would cause the second line to replace the first. With the cursor at the exact end of what you first pasted in, press CTL V to paste the second part in and now press enter.  This will copy exactly what was sent to you and avoid errors.
