Constitution

To Quote some of our famous historical figures:

James Madison:

"Americans (have) the righe and advantage of being armed -- unlike citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust people with arms."

Samuel Adams:

"The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the Unites States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms."

Patrick Henry:

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."

Thomas Paine:

"Arms, like laws, discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world, as well as property."

Benjamine Franklin:

"They that give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Thomas Jefferson:

"No freeman shall ever be debarred the use of arms."

And finally, food for thought:

"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future."

ADOLPH HITLER

This is quoted from a letter to the editor by Michael J. Duffy in the Columbus Dispatch. As these are public quotes, I feel that they NEED to be posted for all to see as the basis of our country and the constitution.
