BLAZONING OF THE PFAHLER COAT OF ARMS
BLAZON (Wappen der Familie Pfahler):
ARMS (Shield):

Azure a stake with two handles in pale or
CREST (Helmet):
Out of a crest coronet, between a vol per fesse alternately or and azure the stake of the arms
MANTLE (Decken):
Not deScribed (Mantling is seldom deScribed unless other than the Primary Tinctures are to be used)

MOTTO:
None recorded (It is rare for the German Achievement to deScribe a motto)

REFERENCE SOURCE:

ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Azure - (Means the Shield is Blue (Azure=Blue))
a Stake with two handles in pale or - (Means the Shield has a Golden (Or=Gold) Stake with 2 Golden handles affixed vertically (in Pale) to it placed upon the blue Shield)

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
Out of a Crest Coronet, between a Vol per fesse - (Means "Something" (to be deScribed later) goes between a pair of upwardly pointing Wings (Vol) that are divided in half horizontally (Per Fesse) & which "come out" from a Crest Coronet (often called a "Ducal Coronet"), which is a "Crown-like" device that has no significance except either for Helmet decoration or to signify Government Service - it's always drawn with only 3 of its 4 Strawberry leaves shown & without jewels.
alternately Or and Azure - (Means the divided Wings of the Vol are alternately colored Gold (Or) & Blue (Azure) starting with Gold (Or) on the (Viewers) upper left Wing half, then Blue (Azure) on the (Viewers) lower left Wing half, then Gold (Or) on the (Viewers) upper right Wing half, etc.
the Stake of the Arms - (Means the same Stake as in the Shield (Arms) goes between the Wings of the Vol, & then this Crest is all affixed to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with its Visor Closed, or with no Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))

SYMBOLISM:
Crown (Coronet) - (Authority) Note: Because it isn't specifically deScribed in writing, it's unknown whether the Crest Coronet is just an heraldic adornment (a common practice) or signifies Government Service (also a common practice).
Vol (Wings) - (Swiftness, protection, celebrity, or coverture)
Colors:
Azure (Blue) - (Loyalty and truth)
Or (Gold) - (Generosity)
