L.E. ‘Boss' Williams Services Set Wednesday
Services for Lawrence E. "Boss" Williams will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. in the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Connel Ghormley will officiate and burial will be at Lanier Cemetery. Williams, formerly of 321 S. Lowry, was 97. He died Sunday, March 19, 1972, at Drumright hospital.
Williams was born at Aurora, Tenn. Aug. 1, 1874, a son of John E. and Elizabeth Williams. He was married to Elizabeth Crabtree in 1901 at Stillwater. The retired route salesman for Lehman Ice Co. and Stillwater Ice Co. resided in Stillwater most of his life.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Williams, 1623 ½ S. Perkins Road, and Mrs. Grayce Morris, Tulsa; two brothers, Joe Williams of Denver and H.W. Williams of 315 S. Benjamin; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Gaasch, Palm Dale, Calif.; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
