Mrs. Mamie Shockey
Mrs. Mamie Shockey, 64, died Sunday, July 31, 1932, at her home, 1112 Fern street, Stillwater, Ok.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Strode Funeral home, the Rev. B. Crowe officiating. Burial was in Laneer cemetery, eight miles northwest of Stillwater.
Mamie Green was born February 21, 1869 in Princeton, Ill. She was married to Elmer Shockey in Kansas, December 25, 1895, settling on a farm in Noble county, five miles west and five miles north of Stillwater, the farm being owned by Mrs. Shockey at her death. Three children were born to this union, Henry Shockey dying in 1908, and the others are Floyd Shockey, Mangum, and Mrs. Letha Thatcher, Stillwater.
The family moved to Stillwater in 1911. The husband and father preceded the wife in death May 3, 1929. The decedent was a member of the Christian church.
Other survivors are a brother, George Green, Sedgwick, Kan., and a sister, Mrs. B.L. Hughett, also of Sedgwick.
