Willliam Floyd Madison
William Floyd Madison died at the home of his son, Marion Madison, six miles northwest of Stillwater, Ok., December 31, 1918, aged 76 years, 5 months, and 4 days. Virtes Williams conducted funeral services at the home, at 2 o'clock p.m. January 1, 1919.
William Floyd Madison was born in Indiana in 1842. He was married to Nancy Ellen Johnson in 1866. To them twelve children were born, seven of whom survive the father. They are: S.L. Madison, living west of Stillwater; Mrs. James Shires, Jackson, Tenn.; C.P. Madison, Collinsville, Tex.; J.D. Madison, living northwest of Stillwater; M.F. Madison, living northwest of Stillwater; J.H. Madison, living northwest of Stillwater; W.C. Madison, in military service at Washington, D.C. He leaves also twenty-nine living grandchildren, one grandson being in the army in France; nine great-grandchildren.
The decedent removed to Payne county from Texas in 1909.
